The AI turned my 30 year old icon library into a paid Mac app in 11 days

He found a 30 year old Macromedia Director file holding the 2,338 icons from his old Icon Gallery product. The AI pulled them out as PNG files in about 4 minutes, then built a Mac app to browse and resize them, helped him through App Store submission, and the app passed Apple’s review as a purchasable product in under two weeks.

His governed agent system checks production logs daily, files bug reports, and deploys twice a day

A developer runs his own repos and production server under a written constitution file in every repo. Automated runs check production logs daily and file bug reports. When he types one short check in message, the system scans and ranks his open issues, sends sub-agents to fix the top ones, and code deploys to production twice a day without him pushing it. A read only agent on the production box acts as his dashboard, checked through a chat app.

Built a 'Piggy Bank' agent that scans Messenger, Instagram, email, and card

Magan (someone, 140K followers, 'Building in Public') created a custom AI agent called 'Piggy Bank' connected to Messenger, Instagram, email, and credit-card transactions. It scans sources to find all subscriptions (which she can cancel), reads Instagram DM chat history to track brand-deal payments, and generates a ledger showing how much she's owed, plus spending insights and payment reminders.

My talk script became a slide deck that was 95% done

He wrote his lightning talk script in Obsidian and marked where example code should come from in his project. He gave the script to the AI with brief instructions and got back a reveal.js deck that was 95% done.

This only partly worked. Worth knowing before you try it.

Run my big projects as the AI threads and keep them moving

John Voorhees has his Dot, Puck, coordinate his work: he spins large projects off into AI threads and lets the Dot manage them, alongside setting up tasks, checking email and doing light research. He says the delegation has worked reliably the couple of times he has used it.

Build a CRM for a company losing 70% of its quotes in scattered WhatsApp chats

Builder Omar Villalobos says a client was losing 70% of its quotes because everything lived in scattered WhatsApp chats, so he built three parts with AI: a WhatsApp-linked form that auto-updates a CRM instead of manual copying, a pipeline dashboard showing $1.28M at stake with follow-ups due and won deals, and an ROI calculator showing a client their investment, monthly gain and payback. No recovery of the lost quotes is claimed yet.

Plumbing firm's voice agent books 600+ jobs from calls that used to go unanswered

Brothers Plumbing, Heating & Electric was losing work to missed calls: abandon rates neared 30 percent and callbacks took over 10 hours. ServiceTitan's AI Virtual Agent now answers in seconds and books jobs around the company's real capacity, service zones, technician skill sets and job types; the abandon rate fell to 5 percent, more than 600 jobs have been booked by the agent, and the company attributes $1.33 million in revenue to it.

The AI does my photo organizing and batch editing now, not Lightroom

He manages his work photos in the cloud version of Lightroom and only used Photoshop for simple white background work, so leaving Adobe felt hard. Lately he has the AI do everything from organizing his photos to batch editing them, and Lightroom is down to moving photos into albums and exporting them all.

Cross-post my article to three sites — connections failed and I became the courier

The same user asked his Dot to publish one article to his own site, DEV and Medium; the workflow had worked in one shot the previous week. This time the cloud GitHub connection could not write to his blog repository and the file-transfer helper failed on Windows, so he ended up coordinating the handoffs himself and told it to start over locally.

Audit 187 email flows in three minutes and tell me delete, fix or ignore

Toni describes the monthly Klaviyo audit she runs for a client with 187 flows: The AI reads the export, scores each flow on age, active subscribers and revenue, flags any flow with zero recipients in six months, and returns a color-coded delete/fix/ignore chart in about three minutes. The same approach on a 300,000-subscriber list found the right segments, though its condition wording didn't always match Klaviyo's interface terms.

Authors locked out of KDP after Amazon blocks GrokBot

The Novel Marketing podcast reported that Amazon’s robots.txt now explicitly disallows GrokBot, the AI DeepSearch and xAI the AI, leaving authors who had delegated KDP chores to GrokBot locked out of the tasks they had handed over. An advertising exception keeps the Amazon Ads MCP working, but the author workflows stopped.

AI agent team narrates its own work as a podcast so he can monitor it

His team of AI agents, building a biotech-investor decision-support app, turns the agent chat history into a scripted ElevenLabs-voiced podcast episode after each unit of work so he can follow progress by listening; he caught the team planning a roughly $730 API test run instead of using his AI plan and stopped it.

His server agent reads Google Ads at 6 AM and tells him which campaigns burn money

Polish marketing freelancer Damian Nowaczek runs AI agents on his own server: every day at 06:00 one pulls data from his Google Ads accounts, compares performance and sends a report with conclusions to the company chat, so he never opens ad dashboards to spot a campaign burning budget. A second agent scans new public tenders daily and picks the marketing-related ones.

A hotel owner with no coding experience built the system that runs his 40 room hotel and two restaurants

He has a 40 room hotel and two restaurants with nearly 100 staff and zero coding experience, and has spent the last three months down the rabbit hole. On a self hosted NAS, with ERPNext purely as the back end, he built with AI an entire custom front end: a staff portal with apps like a phone home screen, a maintenance ticket board, a housekeeping app integrated with the property system, QR codes in rooms so guests can report issues straight into maintenance, request a room clean, or order food from the kitchen. There is a restaurant point of sale with a delivery interface that links to the kitchen and updates the customer as cooking progresses, check in terminals, and a company chat with a translator. Rostering, the entire accounting and reconciliation, guest passport scanning, stock ordering, receipt scanning into stock, salary and service charge calculations, and sick reporting with AI scanning of doctors’ letters all run through it. Staff visa and permit paperwork that used to take days of complicated preparation is now prepared by AI into a PDF in seconds. About 140,000 lines of unique code, not counting ERPNext.

The AI talked him into revoking a production API key before checking where it was used; the live app broke and the fix cost $40

A developer asked why a local tool would not open. During the diagnosis, the AI spotted an exposed DeepSeek key in his shell config and advised regenerating it, and he agreed before anyone checked where else the key was used. The same key powered the AI chat in his live production app, which broke. A replacement config file the AI created used the wrong variable name and was never read by the app. He paid $40 in an AI app credit to get the damage diagnosed and repaired.

Resolve 600,000 employee queries across 87,000 staff

LTM's RAIma super-agent, built in an AI app Studio and embedded in Teams and Microsoft 365 the AI, handles attendance corrections, leave applications, seat booking and hardware requests across more than 87,000 employees. It has resolved over 600,000 queries at roughly 100,000 prompts a month, verifies medical documents for sick-leave approvals, and cut automated campus-onboarding email effort by more than 90%.

The AI built and runs my landing page review business. No paying customers yet.

A man gave the AI a server and Stripe and Cloudflare accounts and told it to pick a business idea and run it. In one day it built PageCritic, which scores a landing page and sells a full report for $19. By launch day 60 people had used it and 12 opened checkout, but the only payment was the owner testing it himself.

The AI rebuilt our network proxy tool in 6 weeks. Doing it by hand had taken 16 months.

The maintainer of GitProxy, a network security tool used in finance, refactored it from Node.js to Java with AI working as a pair. Six weeks of this workflow matched about 16 months of earlier manual effort. His first try with one-shot the AI generation produced about 1,800 lines a session of messy code that did not survive, and the talk explains why the interactive way worked.
