A man camping in southern Utah woke up to three urgent messages from the AI telling him to get back to town, even though he had not set it to watch the weather. He left, and says he would have been stuck in the desert otherwise.
He asked the AI to write a short email to his hotel asking for a better rate. The front desk called him back and dropped the room from $330 to $240 a night, saving $90 a night, and he says the whole thing took about 30 seconds of his time.
She is blind and traveling with her mom, so her AI called a taxi company to ask about an airport pickup. The agent pushed past the phone menu to a live operator, got a fare estimate of about $18 from the airport to her downtown hotel, and kept asking the questions that mattered to her: is that a flat rate, are there airport fees on top, can a driver announce himself at the stand, is there an attendant who can help her find a cab, do they track arriving flights. The answers were no across the board: the company cannot take airport pickup bookings at all, taxis wait at a stand with no attendant and no flight tracking, and the $18 is only an estimate. She shared the full transcript.

Creator Jen Lehner says in an Oct 19 Facebook reel that Instinct proactively texted her that she had accidentally booked duplicate Southwest Airlines tickets for herself and her daughter out of St. Louis on both Friday and Saturday. She confirmed the booking, it was canceled in time, and she received a full refund saving approximately $1,200.
A man applying for a UK visa needed his travel history from many years back. He had saved a filled in form from the last application but could not remember where. He asked the AI to find it. The AI worked out possible dates and file types, then went through his files checking each one.
A forum user gave the AI the days his family could go to a Christmas season show that runs all through December. The AI went through the ticket site day by day, found the seats, and ranked the options by price and seat placement, which he says helped the family pick the best tickets.
After nearly 20 days using AI (he says he no longer opens other AI apps), the author describes it as a practical replacement for a personal concierge: it compared flight and accommodation options for Mumbai, shortlisted the best choices, and only requested approval where needed.
A user lists jobs he handed to the AI, including a delayed flight: he says the AI successfully processed his compensation claim with Delta Air Lines and the money came through. Other jobs in the same post (a Bell Mobility bill dispute, a crypto trading bot) he reports doing himself or failing, and are not recorded here.
An X user sent the AI a photo of their credit card and the bot completed the entire flight booking on a confusing airline website, returning a booking confirmation. Elon Musk replied publicly that SpaceX would make users whole if the AI ever made a purchase mistake or leaked card details.
Creator Elona Karafin documented the AI running her Mexico City trip live: confirming her flight and lounge access, sending proactive reminders, and adapting plans as conditions changed. It built a walking-tour route, read a menu photo to recommend dishes, and offered to move lunch indoors when rain threatened.
Travel creator Jorden Tually, who says trip planning is exhausting after 4,000+ days of continuous travel, demonstrated the AI on Instagram on Oct 16, 2026. He asked for a spontaneous weekend away under $500; the AI built a Washington, D.C.
The same AI setup watches a man's work train travel and sends him updates on delays and platform changes. When his train is delayed, it applies for the delay compensation by itself, with no claim form work from him.
In a Spanish-language demo, tech creator MarcianoTech shows entering his BeforeBoarding login into AI's secure credentials store so it never has to ask permission, then the AI reporting back two completed VIP lounge reservations made with his Banreservas Infinite membership: flight AA2265 on December 3 (departure) and AA1154 on December 7 (arrival). When the departure system got stuck, the AI asked him to confirm the correct outbound flight, and he corrected it to AA2099.
A man whose AI assistant has its own email and phone number uses it to run group trips with 4 to 15 people. It splits bills, gathers everyone's Venmo details, and runs signups for activities like horseback riding, so the organising work comes off his plate.
In a clip from David Senra's interview with Meta's Alexandr Wang (shared on Instagram by someone), Senra recounts a billion-dollar-company founder friend who left his ID on a plane and told the AI he didn't want to be involved in the recovery process at all. The AI arranged a courier, coordinated with building security, went to the office, retrieved the ID, and got it back to him.
In the same Oct 16, 2026 walkthrough, Jason Tang had the AI build a 10-day Los Angeles trip using his saved Instagram videos as the inspiration source. The AI generated a daily itinerary, compared hotels on Trip.com, checked flight options, and attempted to book a Getty Center visit.

Wendell Yu describes sharing content to the AI while scrolling: places get added to his itinerary and photos of his daughter are filed into an online album automatically.
A screen recording shows a proactive AI message: TAP Portugal selling Montreal (YUL) to Lisbon roundtrip nonstop for $602 CAD all-in — 34% below typical best prices — noting it pairs with Manchester United's Champions League away game at Sporting CP on Wednesday, Nov 25 at Estádio José Alvalade. A user reply reads 'the AI is my new travel agent.'
A testimonial graphic quotes someone: 'my first money with someone — connected my email, asked to find all flights I had in last 5 years, find the ones that were delayed or cancelled.' The agent mined years of inbox history for compensation claims.
Ahead of a Nov 14 Disney cruise, he credits the AI with tracking the staggered booking milestones — excursions opening in August, online check-in, and a late-night Royal Gathering character meetup — so none of the windows are missed.
The creator of the 'TRICK #30 - MUSE TRICKS' reel paid $240 for two concert tickets ($90 face value each) but was charged $184 in fees ($38 x 2 service, $12 x 2 facility, $19 processing, $11 order). Noting the box office sold the same seats with zero fees, he had the AI draft a dispute email sent on a Friday night; the next day he received a full fee refund, keeping the same seats with free will-call pickup.
Travel advisor Marissa Waiters reports the AI scanned her email inbox and located 18 free night vouchers, then organized and filed them for easy access — travel value that was effectively lost in the inbox.
A first-person account of testing the AI to fully plan and book a spontaneous trip without doing research: an open-ended goal (good food, beautiful stay, minimal effort). The AI compared destinations, flights, and hotels, noticed the author's saved Instagram folder for Mexico City, suggested ways to use points and travel benefits, and organized everything into a bookable plan — presented as Part 1 of a series.
Jruss707 tested the AI on a Nov 13–18 Yosemite/Sage Lodge trip: the agent browsed the Sage website and completed the hotel booking using a saved Link payment method, found a Southwest flight from Sacramento using reward points (after the author pointed to a preferred flight), and arranged an AWD/4WD rental car from Bozeman.
A man asked the AI to log into AA.com and United.com to check his tickets. The bot checks on both sites blocked it right away, so it never got to his bookings. He told the story in a comment on a LinkedIn post about agents chasing refunds.

Elona told her AI 'the AI' her vacation criteria; it proposed Mexico City and offered to book everything. She then requested an iconic luxury property, a direct flight on her preferred airline, and maximized credit-card rewards.
On one voice call, Eric and Jarvis planned a family holiday day in Florida: skydiving availability, airport pickup, three jumpers split across two aircraft loads, two boys waiting on the ground, drive time and rental check-in. They fit the jump into otherwise dead travel-transition time, and the shareable itinerary updated live as Eric revised details aloud, including moving the Everglades leg later.
Chinese financial daily National Business Daily (Oct 13, 2026) reported beta-user-shared cases for Alibaba's Qwen Go personal agent. In one, a user said only that an earlier flight had been delayed and that they did not remember which one. The agent searched the booking platform's order history and flight status, confirmed an eligible delay, tried the platform's phone support, got no answer, switched to text chat support, rejected a voucher offer, and negotiated over several rounds to a 70 yuan cash compensation.
Planning a family holiday in Florida, Eric opened a voice call with Jarvis about skydiving availability. By the end they had worked through airport pickup, three jumpers split across two aircraft loads, two boys waiting on the ground, drive time and the rental check-in, and slotted the jump into otherwise dead travel-transition time. When he pushed back on an early Everglades start, the plan moved and the shareable itinerary updated with it.
Eric handed his Dot, Jarvis, his daughter's Europe music festival trip during her study abroad. Jarvis priced and compared four places to stay, annotating each with whether the walk back from the shuttle has streetlights after 10 p.m., read providers' replies (one in French), updated the comparison as answers came in, ruled one rental out and flagged a cheaper option whose walk home is longer, uphill and unlit; Eric finished the checkout himself.

Creator Chanelle Howell connected the AI to her Instagram saved folders; in about 45 seconds it generated a 4-day Barcelona & Mallorca itinerary from her aesthetic preferences, shown as a phone webpage with Day 1 in Barcelona's Gothic Quarter, specific restaurants (Los Caracoles, churros at Masia de Sabor, Tapeo), clickable links, opening hours, and booking options.
Points-and-miles creator Rachel Tyers says her AI caught a flight booking error that could have wrecked her week, flagging it before she noticed. The bot drafted the fix for her approval; the caption never says what the booking error actually was.
Stuck in Manhattan with three hours after a drop-off, Eric planned aloud with Jarvis while driving: they weighed a museum, galleries and an observation deck against the mood he wanted, and Jarvis produced a Chelsea gallery walking route. At the end of the call he told it to put the plan in his calendar, and it did.
Stuck in Manhattan with three hours to fill after a drop-off, Eric planned the afternoon with Jarvis by voice while driving. He gave it a mood instead of a destination — a break from technology, maybe by looking at art about technology — and it weighed a museum, galleries and an observation deck, then came back with a walking route through Chelsea galleries. At the end of the call he told it to put the route in his calendar, and it did.
In an Oct 13, 2026 structured test of three agents on 8 identical jobs, the AI reached Delta's Confirm & Submit screen for a $250 flight-delay claim — matching the AI dots, while the AI only scheduled its own retry. The test used a made-up family and nothing was actually submitted.
$250

When a restaurant booking of the writer's was canceled, his dot found him alternative tables on its own initiative, part of a few days of proactive schedule and logistics management after he connected it to his Google account.
His wife works for an airline, so he flies standby through an employee perks app that normal flight apps do not cover. He has the AI track every change. This weekend the AI caught his original flight at Y0, meaning no spare seat, so he switched flights and still made it to Vancouver. The AI checks more often as departure gets closer and only tells him when something changes, and it sends his wife short Messenger updates on his chances of getting on. His tally for the weekend: 2 flights boarded, 1 full flight avoided, 1 gate change caught, no app refreshing from him.
Threads creator John Lam (posting as someone) used an AI hotel price-monitoring setup that sent two alerts when rates dropped on existing reservations, including a Hyatt stay; he rebooked to save $17 on one and $30 on another without manually checking prices. The post includes an AI referral code, so the account leans promotional.
