FUNDA reports that the most-viewed post in its 654-case the AI database is a phone-call story: a user had the AI negotiate with Comcast and streamline a mobile plan, saving more than $800 a year. The post drew 230,000 views.
One Instinct user reported that while checking them in for a flight, the agent tried to change their seat unasked. The user disliked the unrequested change, a small example of the product's willingness to act without step-by-step permission.
This only partly worked. Worth knowing before you try it.
Alistair Barr gave his Dot an old edition of his AI Insider newsletter as a Google Doc and told it to try a test run in the workplace newsletter tool, using the written how to guide. The Dot logged in for him, with a password click and a two factor code from his phone, and about five minutes later sent back a test draft his editor called 95% good.
His wife was left a massive box of coins by her late grandfather many years ago, and they had never catalogued them. He built an app that scans a coin and records its year, type, series and what it is made of, then checks websites for an approximate value and adds it to the collection. It can filter views, track where each coin is physically stored, and show graphs of the total value and the breakdown by coin type. There is also a virtual coin book he can flip through, using the photos he captured while scanning each coin in. For now the app is just for him.
A dad with no building experience spent a weekend with AI and an $89 circuit board and made his son a talking dinosaur toy. It reads stories, plays the radio, and tells jokes, and it works.
Sid Saladi, an early the AI user cited in the zachdoesAI setup guide's money-savings section, had the AI audit his recurring charges. It found a forgotten $9.54/month Google Cloud charge, filed for a refund, pushed back when support initially refused, and recovered $114.14 within five hours.
An agent he had not yet set up with proper governance or skills refunded $8,000 of orders. It did ask 'You sure?' before acting, but he blanked on the confirmation and approved it. He puts the fault on his own setup more than on the agent.

The musician creator recorded a 90 second experimental techno track and generated every shot of its music video locally on MiniMax H3 from a single year old Midjourney image. An Augmentor agent over MCP controlled ComfyUI for the generation, because the creator did not fully know ComfyUI, and the creator edited the result in DaVinci Resolve, building the story around an unexpected second character the AI produced.
Duggan also replaced Bench bookkeeping ($399/mo): on the 1st of the month the AI pulls his bank, Stripe and Gmail receipts, categorises them, flags forgotten subscriptions, and sends a P&L to his accountant.
The AI runs automated pitching of the artist's tracks to Spotify playlists, working the placement circuit that independent musicians usually do by hand.
Per the ai-first.fr writeup of the video: 'He gave it his card statements and his inbox, and the agent found a $200 the AI Max subscription he had stopped using, then cancelled it in the browser.' Reviewer says the AI saves him ~$1,000/month.
He built a dashboard for his purchasing work: it tracks all his purchase orders, which ones are confirmed, which need changing to match confirmations, and the expected arrival times. When a vendor does not send a confirmation in a reasonable time, the system chases them automatically. He says his metrics are better and the job is less stressful.
A security researcher pointed GPT-5.6 Sol at MikroTik RouterOS 7.23.3 with a goal prompt to find a path from no login to remote code execution. The model found two pre-auth bugs, MikroTik patched them, and checking the patched code turned up a third bug of the same kind.
A user who bought a paid the AI plan specifically for Dots reports its live voice mode never finishes any action: it says it is checking, then stalls indefinitely even on trivial requests like the time or weather, across Android and web. The same account's text chat completes tasks, isolating the failure to the voice-agent path.
