Sell custom Illustrator scripts built with AI on Upwork

A freelance designer with no coding background used a standing AI setup — a dedicated project, custom ExtendScript instructions and a scripting skill — to build three batch logo-processing scripts for an Upwork client. The client paid $640, left a five-star rating and became a repeat client.

Wrote a Page post caption in her voice and generated images that

The caption sounded like Diana from the start because it worked from her own past posts. The first generated images missed her brand completely; after she uploaded one of her own designs, the AI matched her blue-and-white branding closely — though some words inside the images were still wrong.

Run our whole website through AI with checks

Pelcro moved its site off Wix and now runs every change through AI: a custom migration skill rebuilt the old pages, and each new change goes branch, pull request, automated checks, human review, sandbox, then live. Nothing ships unless lint, type, build and content checks all pass.

Run my big projects as the AI threads and keep them moving

John Voorhees has his Dot, Puck, coordinate his work: he spins large projects off into AI threads and lets the Dot manage them, alongside setting up tasks, checking email and doing light research. He says the delegation has worked reliably the couple of times he has used it.

Six agents run his business magazine while he stays out of the day to day

A non technical founder, who spent 25 years in banking, has six AI agents running his small business magazine: a CEO agent, trend scout, researcher, writer, SEO agent and publishing agent. He has caught real errors, including a sales agent that wrote a full report for a fake email address and a CEO agent that burned money by waking up too often.

File an eyeglass reimbursement claim from a Teams chat

Cemex's Consult HR agent in Microsoft Teams explains the vision benefit from SharePoint policy documents, then presents an Adaptive Card in the same chat where the employee enters details and uploads the invoice image. On submit, Power Platform workflows route the claim into ServiceNow and immediately return a live tracking ticket number in Teams.

Built an Instagram growth strategy: niche traction scan, competitor creator data, account

Adley Kinsman (verified, 1.5M followers) walked through three concrete the AI uses for Instagram growth: ask what's gaining traction in her niche and which audience pain points are unaddressed; pull creator data from her niche for content pillars and competitive angles; and point the AI at her own account to diagnose what's working/flopping and map a 30-60-90 day plan. She framed it as 'the ONLY AI you need to grow on Instagram.'

Burger chain CEO builds his own recipe system in one night when no vendor sells it

Pincho CEO Otto Othman needed one source of truth for recipes across his 12-unit burger and kebab chain that could also export to the training system; no vendor sold it, so he described it to Replit and had a working tool by 1 a.m., about five hours of work. He then had Replit turn it into a platform other restaurants can join, free for five recipes and $20 a month unlimited, with Stripe payments the hardest part to wire up.

An AI coworker handles his mom's wedding venue inquiries and cut the reply time to five minutes

His mom runs a wedding venue in southern Italy and got 15 to 20 inquiry emails a day, each taking 20 to 30 minutes, which was 70 to 80% of her week. The AI coworker he built now works the inquiries inside her 10 year old booking system, which has no API, and she approves only special quotes. After three weeks the typical inquiry is processed within 5 minutes and the system saves her over 120 hours a month for about $350 a month.

His AI chief of staff now runs a weekly ops review

He added a weekly ops review to his AI chief of staff bot. Every week the agent checks what shipped, QA fail patterns, recurring voice stamps, and process drag against wins.

Decline a radio appearance that clashes with my schedule

Casey Newton's Dot, Kicker, handled a radio-show invitation that conflicted with his schedule, turning it down while he worked on other things. Newton estimated Kicker did about two hours of work in an afternoon for roughly 15 minutes of his effort.

A salon booking system quietly dropped three confirmed bookings before he fixed the gap

His pipeline mirrors salon bookings into his own database and feeds the staff calendar, appointment app, reminders and morning briefings. Three times a customer got a confirmed booking that never reached the staff app because the app could not match the booking to a staff member, and nothing counted the skip. The fix was an unassigned bucket plus counting every skipped booking.

Footwear seller taught himself to code with AI and the AI, then built his own studio-photo app in under 6 hours

After two days of failing to find a product studio app that fit, this footwear seller got a prompt workflow from Shopify's own assistant, then had the AI teach him VS Code with AI to generate store sections from reference images, which let him drop paid landing-page builders. He then built his own app that bulk-turns product photos into studio-quality images (4 images in 40 seconds) at about a third of the cost of the app he liked but found too expensive.

My AI watches my Amazon listings and only speaks up when something changes

WisePPC runs a scheduled the AI check over its own Amazon catalog. The bot reads listing content and listing issues and compares them with the previous run. If nothing changed, it says nothing at all. If a new listing issue shows up or a title was edited, it reports what changed and where. It only reads, and it asks before it changes anything.

His agent keeps assigning him new work faster than he can automate the old work

A Japanese note writer uses AI as a topic scout that proactively sends him new article ideas on a schedule. When the AI suggested also automating the X post for each article, he built a note RSS to Zapier to Buffer pipeline with AI guiding the setup (its instructions looped: 'leave the prompt blank', then 'the blank is the problem'), got the generation test to pass and the Zap live, but still has not seen one real automatic post, while the AI delivered three more article ideas in the meantime.
