His scheduled the AI scan runs at noon daily over about 15 job sites plus any others it finds, matching UK product owner and knowledge management roles at £45,000 to £65,000 against his uploaded CVs. It drops anything posted more than 48 hours ago, anything hybrid sold as remote, and anything it has sent before, and it checks each link is still live, ideally on the company's own site.
Every week his agent scans every credit card, breaks spending down by family member, flags anything odd, and lists every charge from high to low. He says it catches things he could miss. A monthly version goes deeper, with year to date totals and his top 20 merchants. His transactions come through Plaid's read only connector.
Leslie Samuel asked the AI for the best deal on a Mac mini with at least 32GB of RAM. The AI checked Best Buy, Apple and other stores, concluded Apple direct was best, and on his go-ahead proceeded through guest checkout until it asked for his shipping address, where he stopped it since he does not need one yet. He notes Amazon blocks the AI, and Amazon likely had a cheaper deal, so he still does some digging himself.
This only partly worked. Worth knowing before you try it.
Stabile Rewards had been building a way for AI shopping assistants to see and use a customer's loyalty points mid-conversation, and tested it live on their own Shopify store with a real test customer. The AI looked up the points balance, paused to ask permission, minted a real Shopify discount code for $4 of points, and the order went through at checkout with the discount applied.
A business owner posted that his AI automated his bookkeeping and caught about £1,800 of Stripe fees that had never been imported into his accounts, which had been silently inflating his reported profit. The find corrected profit he thought he had.
A man returned books that arrived late and Amazon said some were missing and tried to charge him $152.35 again. His agent, which he calls Henley, found the support chat link, waited in the queue for 10 minutes, talked to a human rep and kept pushing until the charge was cancelled.
Graham McDermott posts that he started using AI to understand his Verizon upgrade options, and it identified a bookkeeping error on his wireless account and had him change the autopay account routing. The fix saves him $24 per month with minimal effort.
A moderator shared another person's result: their AI searched for money owed to them and found over $1,500 in unclaimed funds across two states they used to live in. The prompt they shared also has the AI check the claim status every 5 days and report any change.
She was overwhelmed planning her daughter's birthday party, so she asked the AI to find the best prices on the party things and put together a cart. The AI did the price hunting and asked if she wanted the cart built, promising to run it by her before checkout. She said yes. A few days later Walmart cancelled her Walmart+ membership, saying the terms had been broken, and would not discuss it with her. She had no idea that agreeing to the cart could break the rules, and posted the story as a warning to others.
This one went wrong. See what happened before you try it.
The AI checked a ResMed purchase against the maker's price guarantee three times a day, filed when the price dropped, and secured a $121 refund; a second claim for $81.40 is pending.
