Turn my program synopsis into a 23-page master curriculum

Four days into a 30-day the AI trial, the writer gave the AI the synopsis of Creative Eye Forward, the community education initiative he is building through Creative Eye Studios to teach young people AI literacy, critical thinking and digital creativity. The AI produced a 23-page master curriculum, giving him substantial material to review and shape around the people he will actually teach.

Claimed she hadn't sent an email she had in fact sent; trusting

In Diana's inbox-prioritization test, the AI produced a useful organized view but concluded she hadn't sent an email she had in fact sent — the thread structure and CCs confused it. If she'd trusted the first answer, she'd have sent a duplicate email.

This one went wrong. See what happened before you try it.

The AI Sites built his rehearsal space booking site in 30 minutes, with no code from him

A man fed an expanded spec sheet into AI Sites and got a working booking website for his rehearsal space in 30 minutes. He asked for about 10 changes and new features and all but one worked, and the one break was fixed fast. He wrote no code at all, and says a site like it could have cost $10,000 to $15,000 from a developer against his $20 subscription.

GPT built a searchable catalogue of more than 700 mathematics preprints

When OpenAI released more than 700 mathematical preprints, a researcher wanted to search inside them, including proofs and bibliographies. With GPT-6 Astra he built a searchable catalogue that organises the papers by research area with clickable keywords, full text search, links to the originals, and each paper's Lean formalization status, and he put it on his website for public use.

My agent caught my car insurance renewal, shopped it, and saved me over $700 a year

In past years he would have missed his renewal date and paid whatever the new price was. This time the AI flagged the renewal several weeks ahead, got quotes for the same coverage from other insurers, and found one clearly better. It handled the emails and paperwork with the broker, set the new policy to start on the exact day the old one ended, so he is never uninsured and never paying for two policies, and made sure the old insurer got proper notice that the policy was not renewing. His whole part was reading one summary and saying yes. The saving was over $700 a year.

My agent sorted my 2,527 card collection into 61 deck roles for 22 cents

A Magic player built a collection manager with AI and needed every card sorted by what it does in a deck, not by the words on it. The AI ran his whole collection, 2,527 different cards, through a classifier that gave each card a fit score for 61 roles like ramp and card advantage. It took minutes and cost about 22 cents, and the AI wrote the method into a reusable skill for next time.

The AI built me a new VPN app for my Chromecast in 20 minutes

His Chromecast would not connect to his home VPN, which uses IKEv2, while he stayed at an Airbnb, and the VPN apps he tried would not work on it. He gave the AI his certificates and the AI wrote a new VPN app for the Chromecast in about 20 minutes. He says it works perfectly.

WorkPartly worked

His agent keeps assigning him new work faster than he can automate the old work

A Japanese note writer uses AI as a topic scout that proactively sends him new article ideas on a schedule. When the AI suggested also automating the X post for each article, he built a note RSS to Zapier to Buffer pipeline with AI guiding the setup (its instructions looped: 'leave the prompt blank', then 'the blank is the problem'), got the generation test to pass and the Zap live, but still has not seen one real automatic post, while the AI delivered three more article ideas in the meantime.

This only partly worked. Worth knowing before you try it.

The AI made a whole film about a book no one can read

He gave the AI a one line brief and only encouragement while it worked, with no notes on the finished film. The AI picked the Voynich manuscript, checked its numbers against published research, and made a four minute film, all 7,417 frames drawn in code.
