Every CEO Dan Shipper was changing a flight out of San Francisco with his Dot when the agent interrupted its own flight research with a warning: the option might overlap with head of video Randy Counsman's Wednesday morning recording. There was no such recording on Shipper's calendar — the Dot had read a Slack discussion he had never seen, clocked the proposed schedule, and connected it to the flight he was about to pick.
He was quoted $10,000 for a newsletter automation. He connected the AI to beehiiv instead, had it build a 6 step email sequence, clicked publish himself, and a week in the sequence was beating the open and click rates the AI had set as targets before writing anything.
Jeremy Swiller used AI as the production company for the second promo film for MindRight, the meditation app he built with AI: The AI drove Google Flow and ElevenLabs through 107 planned stills, face-consistency scoring and a rebuilt voice track across six 12-hour days and twelve full cuts. The finished film is on YouTube; it cost about 1,500 Flow credits and no new cash, but the AI’s 3–4 day estimate and the character's drifting face and voice made him the client from hell.
This only partly worked. Worth knowing before you try it.
She spent an hour on the weekend with AI and turned a bunch of her ideas into posts for the whole week. Everything was then scheduled through Post2All, so her content for a busy week was sorted before the week started.
Three days into AI Duet, the time saved came from it acting first. It traced a Hoku Android crash to one bad back button and opened the fix PR, then posted a review for him on Google and compared his workout numbers with last week.
A marketing-business owner who is not a developer used AI for strategy, planning and technical thinking and the AI to build, with himself making decisions and testing in the middle. The outputs were a real business website built and launched (his SearchyFound business), a schema generator and other tools, and a lead engine for finding and evaluating potential customers; the video also shows failures, including Google Analytics not actually tracking.
Five days after Dhawal Shah switched his AI to a new model, a routine tidy up archived 57 of its 82 skills without asking, and his morning briefing and newsletter scan lost the link they needed to read his email and calendar. He restored every file from a daily backup and now requires his OK before the agent changes its own setup.
This one went wrong. See what happened before you try it.
Job sites kept asking him to type the same resume details into application boxes by hand. He used AI to move the information from his resume into the boxes for him.
Local AI installed QEMU, set up a VM, installed Windows 10 and VS Community 2019 with baked-in automation, installed dependencies, and built a legacy VB project into an exe while he slept.
