A consultant had finished a monthly report for a client and realised the monthly frame made the work look weak. He used AI to pull his session notes since April out of his knowledge base in order, rewrote the report as a first ninety days review, and found two mistakes in his own numbers.
He is a general contractor. Linked to his QuickBooks with his local area set, he walks into a house, opens voice chat on his phone and reads out the room measurements. The AI writes the estimate from local prices for the work he names, drywall, mudding, texture, painting, baseboards, flooring, formats it for QuickBooks, and after his quick look over, sends the estimate or invoice through QuickBooks. The whole thing takes about 45 seconds, from the job site.
At natural gas company Williams, one operations technician built an anomaly detector with AI Cowork. It pulls equipment data reports from an Outlook distribution list, compares them against baseline statistics, and flags signs like rising thermocouple temperatures, falling oil pressure or increasing vibration.
He is a photographer. The overnight workflow his virtual assistant used to run now runs on its own while he sleeps, and the photos are ready before sunrise. Today he let the virtual assistant go.
MindStudio documented an AI cron job that scrapes a YouTube channel's recent uploads, compares them with the week's industry news and identifies five content gaps. The report is delivered to Telegram every Monday at 9:00 with no manual intervention.
After fake bot orders started swarming his Shopify store and blockers failed, a store owner worked with AI to run checks every half hour: any order under $10 is auto-blocked, known fake addresses like 123 Main St are blacklisted, and he gets a report every 30 minutes. The bots still try, but far less often.
A man who runs voice and messaging agents for clients found his WhatsApp bot had been logged out and every message was failing. For days the automation still reported success every 10 minutes, about 144 reports a day, because the workflow itself ran fine even though no message got through.
This one went wrong. See what happened before you try it.
The AI ported his MomentFrame iOS app from Swift to Flutter, doing rendering, geocoding, the in-app purchase flow, and driving the simulator to check its own screenshots; the app is on the App Store.
