AI agents now do most of the work on my ten open source projects

He maintains about ten repositories in his spare time, including work on Bootstrap, and the issue trackers grow faster than his evenings. Since October 3, 2026 a conductor AI session paces background agents that read and draft under written rules, and he gets one question at a time. On Bootstrap every open item is analyzed and a fix prepared when needed, and nothing is posted without a maintainer.

Agents exploited a lab flaw and built the defense pack

Locally hosted agents rebuilt a Conductor flaw in an isolated lab and got root access inside the test container. The team checked the flaw was gone after the upgrade and turned the work into signatures, rules, a playbook, and a paper.

An AI coworker handles his mom's wedding venue inquiries and cut the reply time to five minutes

His mom runs a wedding venue in southern Italy and got 15 to 20 inquiry emails a day, each taking 20 to 30 minutes, which was 70 to 80% of her week. The AI coworker he built now works the inquiries inside her 10 year old booking system, which has no API, and she approves only special quotes. After three weeks the typical inquiry is processed within 5 minutes and the system saves her over 120 hours a month for about $350 a month.

Hands-free session deleted the whole C: drive; backups saved 98% (partial)

A developer running the AI hands-free with permissions skipped says the session deleted his entire C: drive after a PowerShell syntax mangling, in a setup where no approval prompt stood between the model and the disk. Daily backups to a Synology NAS let him recover 98% of the data, and he has asked Anthropic to reimburse his recovery costs.

This only partly worked. Worth knowing before you try it.

He got tired of badly formatted PDF financials, so he built a converter that turns a quarter's 25 reports into clean Excel in one batch

He is not a developer; he is a management trainee at a company made up of five entities. Every quarter, full financials go out to the management team: a batch of at least 25 PDFs from their SAGE accounting software, several of them over 20 pages long. He spent weeks reviewing test files and batches and debugging formatting mistakes to build his own converter, after finding that the AI models themselves could not do the job faithfully on larger documents: they would combine rows and categories or produce totals that added up but were not identical. The AI itself told him the task would need a hard coded deterministic app. His converter can now batch format the whole set at once, with the bolding, blank rows, sum lines and column sizing he is picky about.

Ten agents run my wife's and my online shop while we make the decisions

A couple runs their online shop with a team of AI agents, each with its own job: one handles products, categories and stock, one does deep search analysis, one makes product photos and short videos, one runs the blog, one posts to social accounts, one manages ad campaigns, and a brand expert that knows every manual and writes in the shop's voice. Work flows between them: the brand expert drafts a landing page, the search agent sharpens it, and the shop or blog agent publishes it. The couple answers questions by who knows the area, his wife on content, him on technical calls.

Edit every Reel on my channel by typing, not timelines

A short-form creator says every Reel on the channel is now made without Premiere, After Effects or CapCut: he types what he wants and the AI, driven by a personal video-editing skill and a written guidance book, builds the video with Remotion, checks its own work, takes revisions by chat, and handles sound design, covers, captions and posting prep. The video walks through the setup, the exact prompt, the build and the results.
