Ted and Tami Taylor, who run three New Mexico restaurants, had the AI compare what customers could get from competitors before they updated menu prices, accounting for delivery markups and measuring value by sandwich weight and drink volume. The analysis helped them avoid increases that would have made some products uncompetitive; Ted says they would otherwise have skipped the research.
A mathematician with more than a dozen finished but never submitted papers pulled out four of them and shared them with AI. The AI caught errors, built a spreadsheet comparing his new concepts against related papers, converted plain TeX to LaTeX, wrote abstracts he adopted almost word for word, and fixed bibliography entries unprompted. All four papers improved to the point where he submitted them.
He gave the AI access to his Auth0 tenant to check his JWT validation. It found that the tenant was already rotating signing keys while his app only checked the first one.
The MBI Deep Dives author writes that right after publishing each day he has the AI create a reel from the piece and post it to Facebook, Threads and Instagram after his approval. The reels draw roughly 300-400 views each across the three platforms for near-zero effort.
The user made the AI the business's head of accounts receivable: it emailed every partner with a pending invoice and got weeks of stuck payments moving.
An IT provider managing multiple Microsoft 365 client tenants asks the AI to take a new-user request straight from email, create the user in the right tenant, and email the client back with the details - work his technicians previously did by hand across many tenants.
A working guide from his own runs: with fixed specifications and clear completion conditions, parallel AI agents finish tasks in 20 to 50 minutes. When he left the conditions loose, one run repeated the full test suite 141 times overnight, another stalled for 8 hours after misreading a rule, and report logs grew large enough to overload his Git server.
This only partly worked. Worth knowing before you try it.
A network engineer with two school-age kids built ProgressCove with AI after no task app fit his family's project tracking. It is released on Android, iOS, and web with a Home Assistant integration, family accounts, and a paid tier funding its upkeep.
