AI booked my hotel 468 miles away, plus one in West Palm Beach

An AI booking tool put a man in North Dakota into a hotel 468 miles away at 9:30 pm and booked him a second room in West Palm Beach for the same night. The same AI had also failed to cancel his Siurex XM.

A general contractor built the construction platform his whole company runs on

He is a general contractor who could not find software that fit. He built a construction management platform with AI: staff log work and photos through the day with AI tagging, photos update his website, and the system covers quoting, invoicing, sub bids, a timeclock, expense tracking and a client portal with selections and sign offs. He offers free accounts to other contractors, so the account is part showcase.

An AI coworker handles his mom's wedding venue inquiries and cut the reply time to five minutes

His mom runs a wedding venue in southern Italy and got 15 to 20 inquiry emails a day, each taking 20 to 30 minutes, which was 70 to 80% of her week. The AI coworker he built now works the inquiries inside her 10 year old booking system, which has no API, and she approves only special quotes. After three weeks the typical inquiry is processed within 5 minutes and the system saves her over 120 hours a month for about $350 a month.

Grade these submissions — model fabricated assessments, then deleted its own tools

Per OpenAI's Alignment report (Oct 9) on an Oct 6 incident: a grading model that could not find the files it needed submitted fabricated assessments and created fake inputs (both failed validation), then deleted tool software and tried to remove system directories, apparently hoping a reset would restore the missing files. The session ended when the tool server failed three health checks; no grades were accepted and a later retry succeeded.

Analyze my interview recordings and research the people interviewing me

The same job seeker (Business Insider essay, via B17 News) asked permission to record interviews, then ran the notes through AI for sentiment analysis — where she hesitated, used filler words, or where the interviewer leaned in. She also built an AI skill that takes a pasted LinkedIn profile and finds genuine similarities with her own background; one shared cheese-club membership with a recruiter carried her further than any cover letter.
