His business paperwork went from a full day to a few minutes

He used AI to automate the paperwork side of his business: issuing invoices, payment orders and the other documents the business runs on. The work used to take a whole day. Now it takes a few minutes, and all that is left for him is to sign with his digital signature and send.

Electrical estimator stops counting symbols by hand on bid drawings

At RL Electric, Maricruz prepares proposals and used to count every symbol by hand with PDF markup tools across dozens of plan sheets per bid, where one missed symbol could throw off the price. Quotr.ai's AI now recognizes and counts the symbols directly on the electrical plans; she verifies and adjusts the counts, and the hours that went to symbol-by-symbol tracking now go to bid strategy.

Footwear seller taught himself to code with AI and the AI, then built his own studio-photo app in under 6 hours

After two days of failing to find a product studio app that fit, this footwear seller got a prompt workflow from Shopify's own assistant, then had the AI teach him VS Code with AI to generate store sections from reference images, which let him drop paid landing-page builders. He then built his own app that bulk-turns product photos into studio-quality images (4 images in 40 seconds) at about a third of the cost of the app he liked but found too expensive.

Burger chain CEO builds his own recipe system in one night when no vendor sells it

Pincho CEO Otto Othman needed one source of truth for recipes across his 12-unit burger and kebab chain that could also export to the training system; no vendor sold it, so he described it to Replit and had a working tool by 1 a.m., about five hours of work. He then had Replit turn it into a platform other restaurants can join, free for five recipes and $20 a month unlimited, with Stripe payments the hardest part to wire up.

This only partly worked. Worth knowing before you try it.

Analyze my interview recordings and research the people interviewing me

The same job seeker (Business Insider essay, via B17 News) asked permission to record interviews, then ran the notes through AI for sentiment analysis — where she hesitated, used filler words, or where the interviewer leaned in. She also built an AI skill that takes a pasted LinkedIn profile and finds genuine similarities with her own background; one shared cheese-club membership with a recruiter carried her further than any cover letter.
