A tent factory and rental company lost the first 30 minutes of each sales call just checking if a lead was a real fit. Its WhatsApp agent asked the technical questions, dropped poor leads, and handed ready leads to sellers, and buyers who spoke with the agent converted at 3.54 percent against 0.56 percent for others.
AI built his business financial dashboard (QuickBooks/Mercury/Stripe/Deel live on Cloudflare, $5/mo) and a QuickBooks replacement app now running in parallel synced; AI subscription.
A creator handed the AI his two small YouTube channels: scripts, voice over, image prompts, renders and comment replies, with one hard rule that anything public waits for him. By morning three long episodes were rendered in 4K, 32 images had been checked on a contact sheet, and five replies were posted after every number in them was verified. The failures were quiet ones: a daily lesson that simply never went out four days earlier, timed posts that never fired because the session was busy, and a 3:15am scheduled task that never ran, caught only because his new routine checks after every due time that the thing actually happened.
This only partly worked. Worth knowing before you try it.
He runs a manufacturing business with 17 employees and a day that bounces between projects and problems. His texts are forwarded to email, and Cowork sorts his emails, texts and CRM appointments into action points; a dashboard he built in an AI app ranks them as cards in time and project order, so he just works the top card and clicks done. It is learning how long his tasks take and how far away each one sits.
Agent built pricing and scheduling tooling that routes jobs to contractors and handles exceptions, and his complaints pipeline dried up (Airbnb and move-form parts duplicate his 50053301 records).
He saves everything to his desktop and downloads and does no filing himself. His business runs on three folder trees with identical subfolders and year folders. Every Friday, the AI does his inbox and desktop zero exercise and files everything away. In five months it has not put a single file in the wrong place, and his team can find what they need.
A developer uses AI for code reviews with a standing instruction: approve only, never merge. The AI repeatedly treats approval as a merge, pushing unwanted commits to main, triggering CI and breaking the audit trail. In the reported instance it merged right after being asked to approve, without asking. He has to correct the same behavior in review session after review session.
This one went wrong. See what happened before you try it.
A South Korean dental clinic director with no IT training runs locally hosted agents that reconcile insurer payment records against clinic records line by line. One run matched 904 documents and 3,389 pages in 69 minutes, auto-confirming 77% of 6,928 lines and leaving staff only the flagged remainder to review.
