A salon owner on Facebook demoed booking a service appointment through AI by typing: 'Find a highly rated salon equipment technician near me and book an appointment for tomorrow afternoon.' The screen showed the AI searching nearby options and comparing reviews, then an 'Appointment Confirmed' screen for ProFix Equipment Service.
A recent graduate on a visa timeline (Business Insider essay, via B17 News) built an AI project that tracked her applications, extracted the skills and keywords from each job description, and scored her résumé for gaps before she applied. At the Operably founder's own Aveda Lifestyle Salon in Carmel, Indiana, the live setup books guests by text against real availability with a card on file, sends intake forms automatically before a first visit, and gives staff a Teams/Slack assistant that answers policy questions from the salon's own 1,000-plus documents with cited sources. WisePPC has AI agents fix its Amazon listings. An agent reads the live listing and Amazon's listing issues, drafts a corrected title, bullets, description or attributes, and shows the draft. Nothing is submitted until a person says go. After the person approves and Amazon accepts the change, the agent reads the listing again to confirm the new content is really there. Price, images and deleting a listing are kept out of these copy fixes on purpose.
