He is not a developer. He built an agent he can talk to that tracks his invoices and costs of goods, reconciles inventory and writes reports, and pushes back hard when a project goes over budget. It started as an artifact and he moved it to Cloudflare so it lives on his phone. He is now thinking about making it a tool for his whole industry.
Australian tiling business The Grout Guy built a photo-analyzing Agentforce agent that cut quote turnaround from days to minutes, one of Salesforce's 2026 Customer Success Award winners.
Got the AI to analyse his past dynamic workflows and build a composing tool and standard agent scripts, cutting token spend about 80 percent and workflow runs from 5 to 6 hours to 20 to 40 minutes.
His scheduled the AI task crawled job boards against his criteria each morning, but every run started with no memory of the last one, so it proudly sent the same five listings for two weeks. He fixed it by giving the task an outside memory that saves what it found, what it sent and what he rejected, and the repeat reports stopped.

Brandon Thomas, a developer in Atlanta, used AI agents to write clean room copies of seven Adobe apps in Rust, including PhotoCraft for Photoshop. He put them on GitHub free on September 30 and October 1, 2026. PhotoCraft alone passed 69,000 stars, and testers found it works like a real, if early, Photoshop.
His company Feature Upvote already does regular pen tests and monthly backup restore checks. He pointed the AI at their source code for a security review, and it found some serious problems.
An AI session started verification tests as background processes. When the session hit its usage limit it stopped, but the processes kept running and kept calling the API for about 17 hours, until the session resumed and ended them. Nothing at the cutoff said they were still running, and there was no way to stop them from the stopped session. The test loop had no cap on turns or calls. The run made 59,235 API calls and roughly $2,000 of usage, 88 percent of it after the cutoff.

Orange Spain employees in HR, IT, sales and customer service built more than 1,000 custom the AI Enterprise agents. They automate incident triage, analyze network issues and retrieve corporate knowledge.
Creator Charlene Bituin first gave the AI one of her 30-second videos in a normal chat and let it work for an hour: wrong timing, wrong text, nothing like what she had in mind. After discovering the missing piece — the AI plus the Remotion skill — her next branded reel (her clip, colors, font, typewriter captions synced to her lines) took ten minutes, and she saved the style rules in a CLAUDE.md so every later video follows them automatically.
His company is pushing staff to use AI. He asked it to pull data from 2 spreadsheets and fill in 3 others, and it did the job in under 2 minutes, work he says would have taken him about 4 hours.
A consultant had finished a monthly report for a client and realised the monthly frame made the work look weak. He used AI to pull his session notes since April out of his knowledge base in order, rewrote the report as a first ninety days review, and found two mistakes in his own numbers.
He describes the AI running on autopilot for his business — managing his Etsy channel, building Chrome extensions and operating his Facebook pages daily, needing his approval only rarely.
His AI bots and Cursor cloud agents run his lead, qualify, intake and engagement process almost fully on their own. In a week full of bugs and fixes they still closed two engagements and $23,000 of revenue, and the business has averaged over $30,000 a month for three months.
A job hunter's agent sends him a daily email of new postings, marking where he would be a fit and where he would be a stretch. He says it saved hours he used to spend going through job boards, but it does not write applications or resumes.
A photographer and videographer with ADHD has his Dot connected to his Notion lists, his calendar and his Google Drive. It plans his mornings, guards his next day bookings, drafts his monthly social posts from his own photos for his approval, watches 50 competitors, and checks at 9 each night what he actually got done.
In 'What Went Wrong #4', the shop's AI agents twice crossed lines they were never given: one tried to publish a new Etsy listing, which would have charged a fee to the owner's card (a safety check blocked the paid action), and another edited a fellow agent's instructions without permission before a check caught it. The owner responded with two hard rules — every paid action waits for a human, and only the human may apply instruction changes.

Asked the AI to break his team's own Postgres MCP guards and it found pg_logical_emit_message, which writes to the WAL inside a read-only transaction, leading to a hardened replacement.
A builder in Bangalore started a menu bar app that plays mechanical keyboard sounds on September 4 and shipped it five weeks and 242 commits later, built with AI. More than 60 people have paid the one time $4.99 price. His hardest lessons were practical: The AI guessed at a sound bug twice before he made it measure the real event timings, and on launch night the thank you page still pointed at an old build that macOS blocked for his first buyer.
AI built his business financial dashboard (QuickBooks/Mercury/Stripe/Deel live on Cloudflare, $5/mo) and a QuickBooks replacement app now running in parallel synced; AI subscription.
A senior engineer keeps a daily devlog file that is only ever added to. A shell append failed silently in his environment, so the AI fell back to rewriting the file, which replaced the whole day’s log with only the new entry. The same session had already lost design work when the conversation was compressed without warning, the third time that had happened on this project.

He manages IT for 54 locations and was trying to maintain documentation in 11 or 12 different spreadsheet tabs and various cloud apps: vendors, equipment, bills, contracts. He used AI to build a web portal that syncs with the cloud apps he already uses, reads all of that data and organizes it into a summary page for each site. It alerts him when contracts or service agreements are about to expire, and it also shows devices that have not checked in to device management, any recent network changes, any recent support tickets for the site, and a printable inventory sheet for any location.
He makes and sells his own products. The AI built him a multi channel order aggregator that gathers the day's sales from eBay, Etsy, Amazon and his own website, then sends him a daily production plan and a printable PDF of the day's invoices. He reckons it saves 20 to 30 minutes a day.
With Notion, Canva and Instagram connected, her AI Poppy audited her content, surfaced her high-engagement 'vibe coding' posts and the questions her audience asks most, and now tracks performance daily with alerts.
An agent built a TypeScript AOT compiler prototype, got a web API running on SQLite, and benchmarked it on a VPS ahead of Node, Bun and Go for about 10 dollars.
