Make my reels in my style in ten minutes — after an hour of failure in plain chat

Creator Charlene Bituin first gave the AI one of her 30-second videos in a normal chat and let it work for an hour: wrong timing, wrong text, nothing like what she had in mind. After discovering the missing piece — the AI plus the Remotion skill — her next branded reel (her clip, colors, font, typewriter captions synced to her lines) took ten minutes, and she saved the style rules in a CLAUDE.md so every later video follows them automatically.

How it works

  1. First attempt: hand a 30-second video to the AI in normal chat; after an hour the timing and text are wrong
  2. Research other creators and GitHub
  3. Install Node.js and the AI and create a Remotion project
  4. Add the Remotion skill so the AI writes proper video animations
  5. Open the AI inside the project folder with her clip in the public folder
  6. Prompt with exact size, length, colors, font and caption style
  7. Preview, tweak in plain English, render the MP4
  8. Save colors, font and style rules in CLAUDE.md for every future video

Why it’s worth knowing

The same request failed for an hour in chat and took ten minutes once the AI had the right tool connected — the gap was plumbing, not prompting.
