Ordered a Starbucks Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew via AI on the street;

Prateek Jha attempted to order a Starbucks Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew on a busy city sidewalk using AI on his phone. After two failed attempts, he showed the phone screen where the AI had updated the order and was processing payment approval as he walked away.

Compare wireless plans against what I actually pay and use

Harry McCracken asked his Dot to research wireless carriers. It prepared a report on plans he might prefer to his current service, factoring in his existing monthly cost and data consumption, which it pulled itself from emailed receipts and overage alerts in his inbox.

Find me an extra $500 a month in my own accounts

Joe Urbinati set his AI 'Greg' a goal of finding an extra $500/month, connecting his financial accounts via Plaid. Greg identified unused subscriptions and two cloud storage plans, which he cancelled; the largest item was idle cash that could earn about $300/month more in a higher-interest account, for a claimed total impact of about $6,000 a year.

Audit my bank accounts and flag every wasted dollar

Finance creator Graham Stephan connected all his bank accounts to his AI 'Caleb' via Plaid and had it audit his spending, in a #metapartner video co-authored by someone. The AI flagged a forgotten $199/year subscription, $672 in annual fees on an unused bonus-chasing card, and $377.26 (26% of spend) on rideshare, and drafted an email to his business partner about the rideshare spending.

My agent built my budget tracker and updates it with my balances

Commenting on the 26 use cases post, she says she gave the AI access to her budget tracker sheets. It updates the tracker with her balances, and she set up alerts for when a category goes over plan. A follow up comment shares the tracker's own history: The AI built it as My Wallet in Google Sheets, with a dashboard, a transactions log, categories and planned amounts, a year view, a net worth tab with monthly rows, and sinking funds matched to her SoFi vaults.

Re-do my taxes with AI and catch a bug in FreeTaxUSA itself

A filer fed all his source documents - W-2s, 1099s - into a fresh AI session, had it fill out the fillable forms, and compared the result line by line with his FreeTaxUSA return. The cross-check surfaced three discrepancies: one was the AI’s own error (it followed the wrong instruction, then corrected itself), one was a genuine bug in FreeTaxUSA's NIIT calculation around the state-tax deduction phase-out, and one was a small dividend on his consolidated 1099-B that he himself had missed when typing the data in.

Catch a failed payment in my inbox that I never asked you to watch

Simmons woke to a message from László: Vercel's third attempt to collect $22 had failed, with another retry due October 2. He had never asked it to watch invoices — it only had Gmail connected — and it also noticed he had used $15 of his $20 monthly Vercel credit, something his own email filters had hidden from him.

Research and order Lego Star Wars sets for my kids

Elon Musk posted that he asked the AI to research the most fun Lego Star Wars kits for young kids and order them; the shared confirmation showed five sets totalling $241.34 with free delivery. The screenshot also exposed his order number, email and partial card details, and users claimed they used them to try to cancel or alter the order via Lego’s service bot.

Pay the real bills that arrive in my email

After dry-running a personal-assistant the AI through August, its owner let it pay a real $3,731 bill that arrived by email; routines now watch his Gmail for invoices three times a day. The first live payment went through under the watch setup he had tested for a month.

Claim my California unclaimed money: $954 for me, $897 for my wife

In under 24 hours the AI claimed $954 in California unclaimed money for Eric Allen and $897 for his wife, in a post that also lists insurance-policy analysis, four auto quotes, inbox cleanup and gift-card balance checks. Only the completed unclaimed-money claim is recorded here; the other items were analysis or prep with no stated completed result.

Renegotiated internet bills across four accounts via web chat, cutting $274.99/month (~$3,400

Facebook user Brady Hanna reports that the AI contacted providers via web chat and secured lower rates on four accounts: AT&T home internet dropped from $94.99 to $40/month after two free months; Spectrum at a lake house from $130 to $60 with a year of free cell service; office Spectrum from $110 to $60; and MHP internet from $110 to $70 plus a free phone and service that eliminated a separate $60 cell bill. He reports a combined $274.99/month reduction, about $3,400 in first-year savings before t

My agent rebuilt our family phone plans and cut the bill by $543 a year

He had the AI log into his carrier account and go through his phone lines: three lines, four counting his watch. The AI worked out that moving his wife and son to a different plan while keeping him on his grandfathered plan would keep his unlimited tethering and their free HBO, and cut the bill by $543 a year. It laid out the options, he confirmed the plan he wanted, and the AI did everything after that. He says he now throws almost all his form filling at it.

Run a household money sweep: exemption, insurance, power, claims

One user listed what his AI did over a few weeks: filed his homestead exemption back to 2024 (about a $4,000 refund on the way plus roughly $2,000 a year), switched his car insurance to Progressive (about $1,500 a year), moved him to a cheaper power plan (about $800 a year), filed 20+ class-action claims for him and his wife (about $500 expected) and applied to 15+ jobs that led to interviews. He put the total at about $9,000, with forms prepared for his approval.

My agent got stuck at the login on a simple expense claim

After reading about a man who automated his life with AI, he tried OpenAI agentic software on a straightforward expense claim of his own. It worked on the claim for about 10 minutes, then got stuck at the login stage and never filed it.
