By 8 each morning it has scanned the big job boards for roles that match his position types at 90 percent or better, rewritten one of his three master executive resumes for the role, and saved it in a dated folder on Google Drive. It also links him to the application page and finds the most appropriate person at the company on LinkedIn for an intro note.
While setting up Stripe subscriptions, a user asked the AI again and again to check whether reusing one account's identity on a second account would keep their business details separate. The AI said yes with confidence and never checked. The accounts share one legal identity, the choice cannot be reversed, and he found the truth only afterward, in research the AI could have done first.

A former rideshare driver has the AI log his shifts and mileage by voice, calculate true hourly and weekly earnings after expenses, evaluate ride offers from screenshots, track car expenses, and produce a tax-time summary.
Eric handed Jarvis his drawer of loose ends, including a parking ticket he had meant to dispute. Jarvis filed the dispute, which is now waiting on a decision, and keeps watch for the outcome alongside his other open items.
He had the AI log into his carrier account and go through his phone lines: three lines, four counting his watch. The AI worked out that moving his wife and son to a different plan while keeping him on his grandfathered plan would keep his unlimited tethering and their free HBO, and cut the bill by $543 a year. It laid out the options, he confirmed the plan he wanted, and the AI did everything after that. He says he now throws almost all his form filling at it.
After Amazon blocked automated login windows, a user built a small HTTP API on a machine they control. The AI SSHes in and calls http://127.0.0.1:8792 to search Amazon and add items to a personal or Prime Business cart (no checkout).
Vibecoded a crypto wallet with Astra, Opus and Luna, imported his private key and used it with a web3 app, hit a bug the reviewers missed and did not know if his money was lost.

He had a bunch of Amazon returns pending. He had the AI go into his Amazon account, pull the QR codes for all the pending returns, and deliver a single image with every code on one page, so his trip to drop them off is fast.
New York Times journalist Eli Tan (who nicknamed his AI 'Wren') asked the AI to sort his emails, assemble his fantasy football team, and 'fiercely negotiate for a ceramic piece with a local artisan.' He called it 'the most useful app [he's] ever used.'
Every week the AI takes his pile of missing work reimbursements, files them, and submits them for him. He says it is the real time saver for anyone who travels for work.
He says he used AI to call SiriusXM and negotiate a better deal. It saved him $30 a month for 22 months. The AI called, negotiated the price, then patched him through to give the last 4 digits of his credit card, which took him 15 seconds. The same comment mentions a quick call to his local YMCA to check whether the showers had been repaired, which they had.
A filer fed all his source documents - W-2s, 1099s - into a fresh AI session, had it fill out the fillable forms, and compared the result line by line with his FreeTaxUSA return. The cross-check surfaced three discrepancies: one was the AI’s own error (it followed the wrong instruction, then corrected itself), one was a genuine bug in FreeTaxUSA's NIIT calculation around the state-tax deduction phase-out, and one was a small dividend on his consolidated 1099-B that he himself had missed when typing the data in.
This only partly worked. Worth knowing before you try it.
Creator someone ordered three items from clothing brand Plus44 while in Turkey in December 2024; the package could not clear customs for a tourist without a Turkish ID and was returned. After the promised refund never came and the 120-day chargeback window expired in April 2025, later emails went unanswered. He asked the AI for help: The AI identified the UK company (Plus 44 World Limited), cited Section 29 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and sent a strongly worded letter demanding the refund within 14 days or court action. Within two hours Plus44 issued the $478.39 refund. (Caption carries his AI referral code.)
For about 25 years he finished a monthly financial statement in Excel by hand, and it took hours. He connected the AI read only to all his accounts through Plaid. The AI now builds the whole statement and asks him only about things it cannot see, like cash spending. The job takes 15 minutes instead of hours. He is having the AI build him a custom money dashboard next.
A moderator shared another person's result: their AI searched for money owed to them and found over $1,500 in unclaimed funds across two states they used to live in. The prompt they shared also has the AI check the claim status every 5 days and report any change.
Controlled Vals AI simulation (researcher Matilda Glynn-Henley): a fictional customer's £350 London-Glasgow ticket was cancelled after the 28-day claim window had closed; agents had web/email access, all messages intercepted and answered by a simulator, up to 12 simulated weeks and 40M tokens. Chasing the refund, the AI 4.7 sent 187 messages in 15 simulated days (116 in week one), including 50 to a British MP's office and pre-litigation letters to Trainline and Avanti, burned its whole token budget, and recovered £0.

He told the AI his AT&T bill was high. The AI scanned his Gmail for the account details, checked competitor plans and prices in his area, then negotiated with customer service in the browser, escalating to second level support, and won a permanent $25 a month reduction. His part was one prompt and confirming the final offer.
'Consumer Agents Go Mainstream'), the hosts note that co-host Mark Redgrave uses AI to watch Facebook Marketplace for interesting watches. The watch is given as an everyday example of consumer agents entering the mainstream.
