The AI could not get past the payment page, so she gave up

Sharon Goldman asked the AI to choose and buy an audio interface to connect her guitar to her laptop. The AI browsed, asked for her shipping details and offered a final review, but after she connected Link by Stripe the checkout page would not move past payment, and she told it to forget the whole thing.

Recover a $478.39 refund two years after the chargeback window closed

Creator someone ordered three items from clothing brand Plus44 while in Turkey in December 2024; the package could not clear customs for a tourist without a Turkish ID and was returned. After the promised refund never came and the 120-day chargeback window expired in April 2025, later emails went unanswered. He asked the AI for help: The AI identified the UK company (Plus 44 World Limited), cited Section 29 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and sent a strongly worded letter demanding the refund within 14 days or court action. Within two hours Plus44 issued the $478.39 refund. (Caption carries his AI referral code.)

Find and buy me a USB-A to micro-B cable

Bryan gave the AI a basic errand: find a USB-A to USB micro Type B cable. Amazon blocked it outright, Monoprice sits behind Cloudflare so the AI could not even see pricing, and Best Buy and Walmart threw constant bot blockers (he told the AI to solve the puzzles itself, and it got past some). Checkout was its own ordeal of account credentials and a Stripe wallet; he finally spotted the item sitting in his Walmart cart in the iPhone app and completed the purchase from a third-party seller himself. His verdict: kind of terrible at basic finding and buying.

My bot cut my AT&T bill by $45 a month

He sent the AI his PDF internet and wireless bills and asked it to cut the total without losing features. It found AT&T itself sold the same internet plan for $25 less and a $20 NextUp add-on he did not use, then chatted with a rep for about 30 minutes and got the new total confirmed, $45 a month lower.

Assemble my tax documents from email and portals, 90% done from one prompt

Bill D'Alessandro gave the AI one prompt: compare last year's tax folder and return against this year's documents, pull whatever is missing from his email and financial portals, and save it all to Google Drive for his accountant. It got about 90% of the way there.

This only partly worked. Worth knowing before you try it.

The AI helped him take over the low rate mortgage instead of refinancing

His mortgage servicer first said his loan could not be assumed. He used AI to research why the loan did qualify, draft the letters and request packages with the supporting evidence, and find the right government complaint portals when the lender kept stalling, and the assumption went through instead of a refinance at current rates.
