Mom of two picky eaters (ages 5 and 2.5) asked her agent 'Daisy' for a week of meals. The AI produced the plan and compared prices at Aldi vs ShopRite (about $5.47 cheaper at Aldi); she filmed the actual shopping trip and the cooking.
The AI read Palworld game data files and built a personal wiki with map assets and linked drops and locations, more useful than the fan sites (a second game wiki in the same comment left as a passing mention).
His AI agent got a modified fork of OpenEPaperLink running on a hacked 2.6 inch e-paper price tag within a few days. The agent then took a photo of the tag through a webcam to check its own work.
Andrew plays casual online chess against a friend he is dead even with, and was about to buy a Chess.com membership for unlimited game reviews. Instead he gave the AI his Chess.com account; it automatically pulls and reviews his game log every day, and the premium upsell lost its reason to exist.
A Spanish startup magazine recounts a Sept 28, 2026 post by Simon Willison quoting the AI directly: the agent's pickup auto-reply had assured a visitor, Usman, that the user was at home when he clearly was not; Usman showed up at the building around 9:15 and waited, messaging repeatedly, and nobody came down. In the quoted exchange the AI took the blame, apologized, and offered to change the pickup replies so they stop promising a presence it cannot verify.
This one went wrong. See what happened before you try it.
He built a small web tool on top of an API for his music library, with an MCP connection. He can ask the AI to check for missing artwork, sort out the genres, or fix the track numbers.
A game maker gave the AI the 2019 forum thread about his browser shooter and the game's code, and they worked through feedback he had never acted on. The game now restores full health each round, shows a scoreboard on the game over screen, spawns enemies at a safe distance, and fixes an aiming bug. The biggest change is one shared enemy population on a server, so every round anyone plays moves the evolution forward.
He opened his site dashboard and found a plugin he never installed. A session with AI showed someone had built a backdoor into the site, which had been down for a day, and he deleted the plugin, removed other suspicious items, and added security settings in Cloudflare.
This only partly worked. Worth knowing before you try it.
