Every night my bots turn the fixes people make into new rules

When a person fixes something one of his bots wrote, the bot writes down what it said and what the person changed it to. A nightly task reads those changes and writes the rule it thinks they point to, and in a year the bots have picked up more than 40 rules this way.

How it works

  1. Person fixes a bot output or clicks Cancel
  2. Bot logs what it wrote and what the person changed it to
  3. A nightly task reads the changes and writes a plain rule
  4. Bots follow the new rule. Two rules from the log: a replacement shipment is a new row, not an edit, and when a customer says N stores they mean every store of the brand

Why it’s worth knowing

The bots got better from the fixes people made, not from a new model. Each night the fixes became written rules the bots still follow.
