Called AT&T and replaced an $85/month 500 Mbps plan with a $40/month

In FUNDA's analysis of 654 the AI use cases, one money case is a user who had the AI call AT&T and replace an $85/month 500 Mbps plan with a $40/month 1 Gbps plan — a $45/month saving ($540/year) with a speed upgrade. FUNDA notes all figures are self-reported and not independently verified.

His gym agent books tours, and some chats became long term training clients

Abraham Gerving runs two small gyms on a key card model, staffed only part of the day. About a year ago he put an AI agent on member messages and calls: it schedules tours, books consultations, and points new members toward personal training, and some people who started out chatting with it became long term training clients.

It plans my meals from photos of my pantry and a $50 shop from the store ad

He photographed his pantry and listed everything in his fridge and freezer, and it built three weeks of meal plans to use up as much perishable food as possible. In week four it worked from his grocery store's ad with a budget of $50 to buy as little new food as possible and keep the plan going. He is on month two of this.

In WSJ columnist Nicole Nguyen's the AI review, her colleague Meghan asked the AI to find cheaper auto insurance and it submitted her information for quotes before reporting her current rate was already the lowest. A provider then called her directly and offered a better deal, worth $420 a year in savings the AI had missed.

The AI proactively caught a travel-date mismatch: questioned whether his Singapore-to-Toronto flight was

Leo Batistella (Portuguese-language creator) showed a chat where his AI listed his itinerary — Oct 9 Bali to Shanghai, Oct 10 Shanghai to Singapore (early morning), Oct 11 connecting in Singapore to Toronto without leaving the airport — then questioned whether the Singapore-Toronto leg was Oct 11 or Nov 11, noting his Toronto hotel is booked Nov 11-15. Without being asked, the agent checked his ticket and confirmed the flight is in October, not November.
