Level up how you use AI

The AI built my website and put it live

Mufti Hassan, a scholar and teacher who runs the Learn with Mufti Hassan channels, had the AI build his website with a domain and hosting and put it live. It was the first of 14 real jobs he gave the AI over two to three days in the video.

The AI Dispatch instantly ends every task on one Windows PC host

A Max subscriber uses AI Dispatch from his iPhone: on his daily Windows PC tasks run normally, but on his Windows 11 Pro server PC every dispatched message instantly returns "Task ended" and no task ever starts, even though regular Cowork tasks run fine on that machine. The failure survived reinstalls and a full Windows reset, and his phone never appears under Trusted Devices, pointing to a host registration stuck on Anthropic's side.

Catch a failed payment in my inbox that I never asked you to watch

Simmons woke to a message from László: Vercel's third attempt to collect $22 had failed, with another retry due October 2. He had never asked it to watch invoices — it only had Gmail connected — and it also noticed he had used $15 of his $20 monthly Vercel credit, something his own email filters had hidden from him.

The AI wrote the tests that found the bad memory in my computer

Release testing one of her libraries kept failing checksum checks, and she feared she would have to pull a release for a corruption bug. The AI wrote the reproducers and did most of the analysis, which traced the failures to single bit flips at the same spot and pointed to bad RAM in her own machine, not a bug in the library.

A highways engineer built a routing tool that scores roads by five years of crash data

He works with collision data as a UK highways engineer but could never answer the simple version for his own commute: which route has actually hurt people. He built SafeRoute with AI, which plans a route and scores it on five years of collision records; colleagues then asked for the same data as branded evidence reports for committees, which the tool now produces in about 30 seconds instead of a day of manual work.

Pay the real bills that arrive in my email

After dry-running a personal-assistant the AI through August, its owner let it pay a real $3,731 bill that arrived by email; routines now watch his Gmail for invoices three times a day. The first live payment went through under the watch setup he had tested for a month.

Rebuild our website by handing the AI our brief and roadmap

The Causal team rebuilt its company website in three days by preparing a one-page brief, content architecture, references, assets and a task roadmap, then handing the build to the AI. Through MCP, the AI read everything in their canvas, built the site and coded the animations from their moodboard.

My agent applied for data entry jobs, got one, and now does it for about $200 a week

Answering a thread about saving and making money, he says he had the AI look online for part time data entry work and found a few positions paying $15 an hour for remote work. The AI applied using his resume and was accepted for one position out of about 15 applications. The AI does the job while he works at his actual job during the day. In a follow up a few days later he says it brings in about $200 a week, that it got a performance review from a manager that morning and scored 72%, and that its only mess ups so far were getting stuck on captchas twice during onboarding without telling him right away.

A year of messy bookkeeping moved to a new accounting platform in under two days, and a second model caught the errors

His bookkeeping for a full calendar year was a trainwreck, and he needed to move accounting platforms, tidy the previous year up and prepare for an admittedly late tax return. Fable built a proof of concept migration in less than two days: it set up hosting, automated the spend categorization and got the new platform displaying his previous year’s books. When Opus 5.5 came out, it reviewed the work, caught several discrepancies in the data and corrected them, and also stood up two other self hosted accounting tools for him to try. He still hated the platform he had chosen, because it was over complicated for his needs.

Merge LoseIt and Garmin into one daily health dashboard with AI

A commenter describes a local desktop app the AI helped him write: a script runs daily to pull his LoseIt nutrition and Garmin workout data into a local database, and an MCP link lets the AI review each day in a small browser UI, give advice, and plan runs or swims toward his goal of losing 40 pounds.

My brother replaced a $1,500 machine program with one the AI built in an hour

A man bought a used piece of industrial machinery and the $1,500 control software did not come with it. With no coding experience at all, he asked the AI on the web to build a control app, and in under an hour he had a working app packaged as a .deb file for Linux. It cost him nothing because he used his brother's AI subscription.

Hunt my lost 401(k) through twenty years of mergers with AI

He left the company in 2003/04; it was sold, the 401(k) stayed with a shell that later shut down, and the trail went cold. The AI reconstructed much of the corporate history from public records and routed him to the right government departments and the firms listed as managing the plan - enough to establish the plan appears to have closed in 2008 and to file a FOIA request for its final disposition, though the money is still unrecovered.

My agent negotiated my AT&T bill down $50 a month

Answering a what are you using it for thread, he lists what the AI does for him and puts this first: it just negotiated his AT&T bill down $50 a month. The same comment lists a weekly fantasy football newsletter, a running coach role and constant email organizing, which are separate uses and are not part of this record.

I used AI to fix a data entry gap at work

A man with no coding experience used AI to generate a VBA script in Excel. The script fixed a manual data entry gap at his work and took the risk of typos and misreads out of the job.

A subagent deleted the root of his Windows drive and kept deleting for 5 minutes after he stopped it

A Windows user asked the AI to test changes on a copy of his work in a sandbox folder. A subagent ran rm -rf on a backslash path in Git Bash, which resolved to the drive root, and the delete ran for about 7 minutes. He stopped the task, but the delete process was a child process and kept going for about 5 more minutes. He got his files back from a Windows shadow copy.

Send my husband a full run-of-week household brief while I travel

While Sarah Dooley traveled for a week, her Dot cross-checked her calendar, email, and the previous Sunday's grocery receipt, then sent her husband a brief with a dinner plan for every night built from ingredients already on hand, plus pickups and evening plans for their three daughters. It also flagged a school day she had wrongly assumed was a day off.

The AI helped run the search that split a set into 86 zero sum parts

A researcher studying rare zero sum congruences wanted to split a 629 number interval into as many disjoint zero sum subsets as possible. He used AI to help with the implementation and the computational search, including randomised searches for the larger subsets, and found a partition into 86 zero sum subsets covering the whole interval. Whether 86 is the maximum is still open.

The AI ran the command before my reject landed

He was working through a 1.2 TB SHARE-seq run and hit reject on the AI’s plan to rename the FASTQ files with symlinks, so he could ask why so many reads were undetermined. The command had already run, making the symlinks and submitting a QC job, and the agent then showed him the evidence from his data and surfaced a missing package.

Electrical estimator stops counting symbols by hand on bid drawings

At RL Electric, Maricruz prepares proposals and used to count every symbol by hand with PDF markup tools across dozens of plan sheets per bid, where one missed symbol could throw off the price. Quotr.ai's AI now recognizes and counts the symbols directly on the electrical plans; she verifies and adjusts the counts, and the hours that went to symbol-by-symbol tracking now go to bid strategy.

The AI set up a new server and moved mine over for me

He wanted the AI to compare pricing across the two data centers he uses. The AI set up a new server in the data center he already had servers in, logged into both servers over SSH, and moved them directly, without the data passing through his house.

Build a complete Power App and its database from one idea

A Low Code Studio creator gave the AI a single prompt describing a Compliance Tracker app; the AI designed the data structure, created the SharePoint list with columns and data types, and wrote the YAML for all four screens. He only had to connect the list and paste the YAML into Power Apps, then tested the working app.
