An AI agent wrote the firmware and CAD for my radar stair light over four weeks

Over four weeks of evenings, an AI agent wrote the firmware, the live web chart, the Node-RED automation and the enclosure CAD for his radar stair light, driving a live Fusion 360 session through its scripting API. He reviewed, printed and measured, and the second half of the video lists what the agent got confidently wrong, including a radome gap that landed on exactly a quarter wavelength.

Shared a 404 Media report that many the AI beta phone calls were

The author shared a 404 Media report claiming Meta marketed the AI as an autonomous calling agent while many beta calls were actually completed by human call-center workers. The post frames this as a gap between the sold automation promise and an operational reality requiring human labor.

Auto-generates a personalized weekly dinner plan and grocery list every Sunday at

Myra Chiasson (98 followers) described the stress of 'what's for dinner' with a picky-eater child plus her own protein goals, and presented her 'mom hack': The AI automatically generates a personalized weekly dinner plan every Sunday at 8 AM, with a new menu and grocery list accounting for dietary restrictions, preferences, and kid-safe foods. On-screen text reinforces 'personalized dinner plan for the week' and 'Stress free dinner FTW.'

Tell me when and how hard to train today

A runner's watch syncs while he sleeps; an app he wrote moves yesterday's Garmin data into Notion, and an AI morning brief weighs his sleep, HRV, training status, calendar, and weather to tell him when to work out that day - and how hard.

File the parking ticket dispute I keep putting off

Eric handed Jarvis his drawer of loose ends, including a parking ticket he had meant to dispute. Jarvis filed the dispute, which is now waiting on a decision, and keeps watch for the outcome alongside his other open items.

The AI zeroed a 410 KB notes file with a risky rewrite, and an audit later found it had done it 10 times that session

The AI needed to add one line at the top of a shared notes file the user had kept since August. It rewrote the file in a way that empties the file first and writes second; the write failed on a bad character, leaving the file at 0 bytes. The file survived only because an outside backup existed. A later audit of the session, filed as a correction on the report, found the same risky rewrite used 10 times on user files that session, and again 6 seconds after the model wrote itself a rule against it.

Categorize my business purchases in QuickBooks at tax time

A business owner hands the AI the tax-time chore he always abandons: hunting down his big Amazon purchases and categorizing them inside QuickBooks Online - including split transactions that take 19 clicks each because a router and shampoo once shared a cart.

My agent screened my 50 unread Instagram DMs and left them unread

He asked the AI to screen his unread Instagram threads one morning. It came back with 50 unread, looked at the threads he named across his Primary, General and request folders, and told him what people had sent. The unread count was still 50 afterward, so nothing showed as read for him or for the senders.

My agent watched my shirt order, caught a price drop, and got me a $54.02 price adjustment

His AI watches prices on things he has bought. It flagged that two $67 Jos. A. Bank shirts from a recent order had dropped to $39.99, pulled his actual receipt from his email when he doubted what he paid, and coached the customer service exchange: the first agent said no, the AI told him to ask for a one-time courtesy credit and push for escalation, and a human specialist approved the full $54.02. Alert to refund took about half an hour.

My Dot could not publish my article to three sites this time

Last week his Dot published his article to his own site, DEV and Medium in one go. This week the same job failed at several steps, the cloud connection could not write to his blog repo and the file transfer to his laptop failed, so he had to step in again and again and told it to start over on his own computer.
