Audit my $800k portfolio and catch my advisor cloning my Roth into a taxable account

A 37-year-old who suspected his big-firm advisor treated his roughly $800,000 portfolio as an afterthought uploaded his statements, gain/loss and trade history to the AI. The audit found two years of S&P underperformance - and the real problem: when he asked the firm to extend a successful Roth IRA strategy to his taxable individual account, they copied the exact same asset ratios across, so dividend-heavy holdings now throw off ordinary-income tax every year, a non-issue inside the Roth. Confronted, the advisor called it a known model limitation. He is firing the firm.

Hunt my lost 401(k) through twenty years of mergers with AI

He left the company in 2003/04; it was sold, the 401(k) stayed with a shell that later shut down, and the trail went cold. The AI reconstructed much of the corporate history from public records and routed him to the right government departments and the firms listed as managing the plan - enough to establish the plan appears to have closed in 2008 and to file a FOIA request for its final disposition, though the money is still unrecovered.

This only partly worked. Worth knowing before you try it.

The AI made my adapter bracket in one shot

He gave the AI a CAD file he could not even open, plus a few measurements he took with digital calipers. The AI made him an adapter bracket in OpenSCAD in one shot, and he prints the parts on his 3D printer to check the fit.

The AI ran Blender and built my dental design tools

A dental worker had the AI run Blender on his own computer and write Python add-ons for his design work. It built a tool that turns a shell into a based model, one for basic aligners, an automated baseplate designer, and a custom impression tray designer. A fifth add-on, for copying dentures, did not come out as well.

The AI asks 12 questions and builds your gym plan in about 5 minutes

The founder of the Gym Commitment app connected the AI to it through a custom MCP server so the AI works as the trainer inside the app. In a real test, a user described his goal and schedule, the AI asked up to 12 questions, searched 1,872 exercises, and pushed a 4 day plan to his phone in about 5 minutes, only after he approved it.

Korean investing YouTuber had the AI audit his subscriptions from Gmail receipts

A Korean the AI guide recounts a Sept 23, 2026 video by investing YouTuber Kim Dante (channel 'Tomorrow's Investment King Kim Dante'), who joined the AI through a US VPN and asked it to list every subscription he pays for, rank them by how little he uses them, and draft a cancellation message for each. Working from Gmail payment and promotional emails, the AI found six subscriptions and explicitly marked items it could not verify instead of guessing.

Agent logged in and filed the firm EPF contribution itself

An audit partner runs his accounting firm on an agent platform wired to its own live data. In the session the agent pulls the credentials from a vault, logs into the KWSP i-Akaun portal, and submits the EPF contribution, with the partner reviewing the figures before payment.

Turn my existing PCs into a subscription-free home camera network

He retired his Nest cameras and had the AI (alongside OpenCode) configure Home Assistant and the camera software on the PCs already in his rooms, Linux and Windows alike, so the household computers now double as his in-house camera system, checkable while traveling - no doorbell-cam subscription.

BananaGroup now runs its Medigap sales on an app the AI helped build

BananaGroup now runs its Medicare Supplement sales on its own app, with prospects, quotes, enrollment alerts and the sales pipeline in one place, built in a couple of days. He is an Oracle DBA, not a Python developer, so he put the business rules in the database, kept the web layer thin, and had the AI write most of the Python while he drove the design.

My kids always wanted two player Mario, so the AI made the mod

His kids have always been disappointed that Super Mario Bros. for the NES does not have two player co-op like the 21st century Mario games. Today he got the AI with Opus 5.5 to make a two player simultaneous mod. You can pick Mario, Luigi, Toad or Peach, and it works on a real NES.

It cancelled my Adobe plan and got $400 of membership fees back

Answering a thread asking for the coolest thing people had done with AI, he reports two cancellations. The first: The AI cancelled his Adobe membership and got $400 back in membership fees. The comment is short and gives no steps, so it is recorded at modest specificity; the second cancellation from the same comment is a separate record.

Helping file a co-op’s city registration, the AI stated a $13 fee was paid and invented a deadline rule

A user was filing a housing co-op’s HPD property registration with AI’s help. Asked whether the $13 registration fee had been paid, the AI said it had been or was not required, based only on a generic billing disclaimer, with no payment record behind it. Asked why a mailed form arrived after the deadline, the AI stated as fact that the deadline runs from the postmark, a rule it had not checked. Both claims were corrected only after he challenged them. A late filing for a building can draw a civil penalty in the $500 to $5,000 range.

This one went wrong. See what happened before you try it.

Orchestrate the AI over SSH and review its work

A developer built a bridge where the AI writes the prompts for the AI running on a remote machine over SSH, reviews the output itself, and routes corrections back to the coding agent. One agent manages and quality-checks another agent's code work.
