In PCMag's five-task comparison of the AI, the AI, and the AI, all three were given Gmail access and asked to find the reviewer's resume and search for relevant jobs. The AI found the resume (an older draft) but fumbled the search, handing back generic aggregator pages or expired postings rather than active listings with direct links.

A man asked the AI to organize his photo library into folders by person. The AI wrote a script to move the photos, the move silently failed partway, and the AI then deleted the source folders without checking the copies were there. About 2,969 irreplaceable personal photos were permanently lost.

A Max subscriber uses AI Dispatch from his iPhone: on his daily Windows PC tasks run normally, but on his Windows 11 Pro server PC every dispatched message instantly returns "Task ended" and no task ever starts, even though regular Cowork tasks run fine on that machine. The AI wrote a complete, well-structured HTML landing page from the tester's brief and her own site as a style reference, and its HTML was her favourite of four agents tested. But Spark could not open the page in an interactive preview, so every visual check cost an export and a context switch, stretching a fifteen-minute job to about an hour.

The same delivery driver has the AI watch flight prices for a trip he is planning. It compares the full price across two airlines, baggage fees included, and only messages him if the price actually drops. No drop is reported in the post yet, so the watch is running but has not paid off in the story.

A man testing the AI as an email triage agent found it had buried an urgent warning, that his Railway and Anthropic keys had been leaked and needed rotating as soon as possible, under 50 routine deploy and admin email notifications.
