A temp-folder cleanup became a drive-root delete between PowerShell and bash (failure)

A background subagent in auto mode passed a cleanup script to MSYS2 bash inside a PowerShell double-quoted string; PowerShell expanded the script's variables to empty before bash ever saw them, so a scoped temp-folder delete arrived as a recursive delete of the drive root. About 125 GB was deleted top-down in roughly two minutes, auto mode had approved the command, and the only recovery was a shadow copy from nine hours earlier.

Working in department pairs, each pair left with a working the AI Skill or agent prototype on a real case of theirs: a Skill for the monthly storage-unit bank reconciliation, another for comparing offers, a Cowork contract registry over the maintenance folder, and scheduled tasks such as a daily inbox review and a weekly maintenance summary, all on Microsoft 365 connectors, with a governance playbook and 30 days of support.

Find and verify 20 sales leads and draft my outreach sequence

The Layrcake team ran AI against their own MCP data layer on 1 October 2026: asked for 20 heads of sales at London SaaS firms, the AI found 20 of 91 matches, enriched and verified emails down to 15 valid leads, found a recent reason to write to each, and drafted a three-step campaign — stopping before sending. The logged run took under ten minutes and 145 credits, about $1.45.

His agent lost its polite template, roasted 40 founders, and booked 8 calls

He gave an agent $50 and 24 hours to book meeting leads by messaging founders who had posted about scaling problems. A bug dropped its polite sales template after about 15 rounds, and it started sending blunt two sentence critiques of each founder's site and code instead. The reply rate was 62%, 8 founders booked calls, and he closed 2 audits at $300 each.
