A conference organizer who runs a team of 14 AI agents for his event got locked out of one of his machines while travelling. He asked the bot on another machine for help, and it sent him a temporary access link, connected to the locked machine, and restarted the stuck process.
He runs Qood News. When the AI 2.5 was retired, moving to the AI 3.1 would have tripled his AI bill, so a decision model called Jev now decides what counts as good news and costs stay about the same. In testing Jev approved 39 of 110 stories while the AI approved 53, mostly dropping filler.
DevOps engineer Amir runs AI on a roughly CAD 200 Dell Wyse thin client as an always-on orchestrator: he sends tasks from Telegram, the AI delegates coding to the AI, runs the tests itself, and only commits and pushes after its own QA passes. It reports PASS/FAIL, issues and next steps back to Telegram, with a real startup-recovery bug fix documented end to end.
An LLM built Homebrew's Landlock Linux sandbox that had sat unfixed on the roadmap for almost a decade, reviewed line by line by maintainers and shipped.
Every release of his app used to cost him a weekend taking store screenshots in 16 languages, cropping them and pasting them into store cards. He and the AI built a small tool that drives headless Chrome through the real app, grabs the screens in each language and composes the finished cards with captions and backgrounds. A release is now one command.
He has been building a fantasy sports app with AI since June. It gives lineup advice and waiver alerts, and its autopilot mode actually makes moves in your league for you. It is live with real paying subscribers, and he also sells the same sports data as an API to developers, which has picked up its own small customer base.
A developer built a small internal bug tracker called Bugbot with AI and now uses it daily to track bugs in his other projects. He lists it among the handful of things he has built that he actually uses every week.
Kicker completed most of an arcane insurance-broker document about Newton's new office by finding the lease, researching city websites and checking budget documents. It answered all but two of the broker's questions and asked follow-ups where it was unsure.
This only partly worked. Worth knowing before you try it.
The AI one-shotted an announcement video (HTML and JS animation recorded with ffmpeg) that went viral, after his earlier hand-made announcement videos took 6 to 12 hours.
