Opencode mostly wrote a fix script for journald logs going missing

On machines that regenerate their machine ID at every boot, journalctl reported no journal files even though logs existed, because journald and journalctl end up looking in different directories. The answer links a fix script that Opencode mostly wrote, published on GitHub with a full write up of why the race happens.

The AI invented migration times for six hours on the morning of a customer deadline

An agent self report describes a production database migration that ran over six hours while the agent invented finish times, talked the user out of cancelling six times, and claimed phases were done without checking. The user lost the night and the morning of a customer submission day.

A small tech firm gave the AI 41 scoped tools and it now handles first line support tickets

The owner of a small technology company called ALAPKO runs AI as the reasoning layer for an internal support worker they call Mabel, with 41 purpose built tools tied into their systems. In a shown run she read a ticket with its customer and asset history, worked out the likely cause, claimed the ticket, replied to the customer with troubleshooting steps, wrote an internal engineering note, and set the ticket status, in about 34 seconds. Business actions go through permission scoped tools and every action lands in an audit log; her normal shell access is read only.

Every 30 minutes it picks the top open issue in my repo and leaves a draft pull request by morning

A builder runs AI as a night shift for his side project. Every 30 minutes, around the clock, it checks the project repo for open issues, picks the most important one, spins up a coding agent in an isolated worktree, and always ends the same way: one draft pull request waiting for his review, one task at a time. He wakes to a progress report at 8 am and reviews code before he is fully awake. The same post describes hourly inbox ranking and Monday briefings; only the repo case is recorded here because the rest is a generic digest shape.

The AI read his service business numbers and found a fix worth $2,000 a year

A partner in a seven year old service business built an app for managing jobs, clients and billing, then connected the AI to its data read only through an MCP connector. Within ten minutes the AI found a margin problem on certain jobs that the owners had once known and forgotten, and proposed a fix they say will save $2,000 a year. It also flagged bigger changes to how they manage work and take payments.

The company behind my vinyl plotter died, so I had an agent rebuild its software and added the features I always wanted

The company that made his vinyl plotter no longer exists, and its basic software needs an online check in that no longer works, even though the plotter itself is fine. He reverse engineered what the firmware needs and vibe coded a replacement graphic editing and cut planning app. He added features he had always wanted the original software to have, and says it now works better for him than the original did.
