A testimonial graphic quotes someone: 'my first money with someone — connected my email, asked to find all flights I had in last 5 years, find the ones that were delayed or cancelled.' The agent mined years of inbox history for compensation claims.
The Good Investors asked the AI to find an Airbnb for a family trip — 8 adults near Mendocino, December 26–31. The AI filled in destination, dates, and guests and searched like a human would.
This only partly worked. Worth knowing before you try it.
A Yahoo Finance 'IN THE LOOP' segment on Facebook highlighted a tweet from Ejaaz (someone): after a 7-hour flight delay, he asked the AI to file for compensation, and within 5 minutes he had a $250 credit in his Delta account and a rebooked flight — with no prior context given.
He says he uses AI to find the cheapest tickets for events he knows he wants to attend. Its feed also told him about an event by a favorite artist of his. The same delivery driver has the AI watching flight prices for a trip he is planning. It compares all in totals across two airlines including baggage fees, and only messages him if a price actually drops. The rule he set is silence unless something qualifies, which he says is the part that makes the watch usable.
A first-person account of testing the AI to fully plan and book a spontaneous trip without doing research: an open-ended goal (good food, beautiful stay, minimal effort). The AI compared destinations, flights, and hotels, noticed the author's saved Instagram folder for Mexico City, suggested ways to use points and travel benefits, and organized everything into a bookable plan — presented as Part 1 of a series.
A man camping in southern Utah woke up to three urgent messages from the AI telling him to get back to town, even though he had not set it to watch the weather. He left, and says he would have been stuck in the desert otherwise.
A presenter showed his AI 'Finch' planning a full Santorini trip for Oct 12–19 for him and his wife while his phone was face-down — returning flights, hotel, and rental car at a best-value total of $6,695, with AI asking for approval before booking.
