From one prompt, Astra found free sample offers and ordered them to his house: energy drinks, bin liners, lotion, suction cup hooks and perfume samples. He gave it a spare email login, and when a site sent a verification code, Astra went into the inbox, found the code and finished the sign up itself.
He says he has zero knowledge of coding. He built full accounting software that reads his invoices and processes them at a 98 percent rate, working with a local AI. It replaced the package that cost him $1,000 every year. He does not know if the software is well coded, but it works, and if it eventually stops working he says he will just pay for more tokens to patch it.
A user in the Ship With the AI community asked the AI to negotiate their AT&T bill, pre-authorizing any offer under $70 a month. The AI got the bill to $40 a month plus 3 months free.
He built BinkBook, his own app that turns photos of poker tournament receipts into a dashboard, and says the AI now does the job better. He snaps a photo and the bot saves it to Google Drive, pulls out the casino, date, game type and buy-in, and logs it in a Google Sheet.
A man talked with AI for an hour about tax loss harvesting, then used Scalable Capital's MCP access to close a position in his own account. He never left the terminal.
A man connected the AI to a Robinhood agent subaccount through its connector and gave it as much freedom as he could. It trades on its own and has made a small amount of money so far. He keeps the risk ring fenced in the subaccount rather than his main account.
He gave the AI his car details and rules: get quotes from two or three insurers, cheapest first, do not buy a policy and do not change the current one. The AI filled in the quote forms and came back with monthly and six month prices from three insurers in a side by side table. Geico would not complete the request at all. He says it saved him time filling in forms.
This only partly worked. Worth knowing before you try it.
A man runs agents called Pi on a VPS behind a small app he had them build. One listens to a WhatsApp group and spots bills, a second Pi with DeepSeek reads each bill, pulls out the amount, due date and reference, and updates the database, and a merge step clears duplicates.
