Cancel my Fabletics VIP membership and get the charge refunded

Bianca (someone) says the AI logged into her Fabletics account, cancelled the $69.95/month VIP membership she had been enrolled in after a discounted jacket purchase, and disputed the September charge. Twenty-one minutes later she had a full $69.95 refund to her original payment method, not store credit.

Find me cheaper car insurance — a human beat it by $420

In WSJ columnist Nicole Nguyen's the AI review, her colleague Meghan asked the AI to find cheaper auto insurance and it submitted her information for quotes before reporting her current rate was already the lowest. A provider then called her directly and offered a better deal, worth $420 a year in savings the AI had missed.

My agent rebuilt our family phone plans and cut the bill by $543 a year

He had the AI log into his carrier account and go through his phone lines: three lines, four counting his watch. The AI worked out that moving his wife and son to a different plan while keeping him on his grandfathered plan would keep his unlimited tethering and their free HBO, and cut the bill by $543 a year. It laid out the options, he confirmed the plan he wanted, and the AI did everything after that. He says he now throws almost all his form filling at it.

The AI worked out which of his investment gains had to be given to charity under Shariah rules

He has invested for five years in big index funds, but as a Muslim he must purify any gains from companies that are not Shariah compliant by giving that money to charity. Companies move in and out of compliance every quarter, across more than 20 quarters of his holdings with gains feeding later gains. Four hours of work with Cowork and about $150 of tokens produced the full model and his answer.

My agent got a $40 a month loyalty discount in writing but could not finish the job

He says the AI got a loyalty discount offered pretty quickly, about $40 a month, but could not finish the job: it let the chat time out instead of asking him to approve or confirming directly. Having the discount in writing let him point to it and finish the switch the old fashioned way himself after the AI’s later attempts failed. He still counts the $40 a month as saved.

My assistant joined my call with my phone company and I saved 1,250 euros

A Dutch man brought his own AI assistant, Eva, running on the AI, into a live call with his provider Ziggo. Eva had compared a rival offer against his contract, and spoke during the call when he asked her a question. Inside 30 minutes he had a renewed 24 month contract that cuts his total bill by 1,250 euros.
