Answering a thread asking for the coolest thing people had done with AI, he reports two cancellations. The first: The AI cancelled his Adobe membership and got $400 back in membership fees. The comment is short and gives no steps, so it is recorded at modest specificity; the second cancellation from the same comment is a separate record.
He asked the AI to check if his phone and internet plan was worth what he pays, and shared the agent's own account of what it did. The AI signed into his account and checked five months of statements: he uses 14 to 30GB a month, so his unlimited plan was charging him for room he never uses. It found a cheaper tier, Mobile Select at $30 a month with a 50GB data bucket, $15 a month less than his $45 legacy plan. The tier was not offered on the self service pages, so the AI opened the Xfinity chat, told the bot it was acting for him, got passed to a live agent, and handled the account checks, including spotting an expired approval link and getting a fresh one sent to his email. Before agreeing, it read the order review page: one line, $0 due today, $15 a month less, no add ons. His whole part was typing the word go. The saving is $180 a year from the next bill.
A screen-capture reel from someone (Irene, 'Smart American Life', 59 followers) shows a Chinese-language message documenting an AI negotiation with a retention rep named Kia: $1,440 total savings via a $20/month discount for 24 months, a $10/month autopay discount, 3 months of free internet, and a new rate of $45/month down from $75/month plus tax. Presented as a US life-hack with itemized terms.
Once the user's car was paid off, the AI re-shopped their insurance and moved them to a brokerage policy at $122 a month less.
In a #metapartner demo co-authored by someone, creator Parker Pannell delegated a day of tasks to his AI 'Fluffy', including buying a red-carpet outfit. Screen recordings show the AI purchasing a $150 suit after he provided his payment details, alongside subscription savings, an OpenTable booking and email drafts.
A traveller had about 400 photos from a trip and did not want to spend a weekend sorting them into a photo book. Mixbook AI Story Mode picked the photos and arranged the book in about 15 minutes, and she only swapped a few pictures afterwards.
A man connected the AI to a Robinhood agent subaccount through its connector and gave it as much freedom as he could. It trades on its own and has made a small amount of money so far. He keeps the risk ring fenced in the subaccount rather than his main account.
He spent a day redacting his own financial data by hand and feeding it to the AI. It rebuilt a year of bills and transaction records he had never written down or balanced.
He had the AI analyze his electricity bill and switched supplier. Comparing two similar months, his old supplier charged 76.20 euros for 155 kWh and the new one 55.30 euros for 143 kWh, a saving of 0.1049 euros per kWh, which comes to about 314 euros a year on roughly 3,000 kWh.
Alongside a media tracker site he built for himself, he has it check in daily: local news alerts, and deal scans on the products he buys regularly, using price ranges he gave it, with a buy now alert when a price drops into range.
