For about 25 years he finished a monthly financial statement in Excel by hand, and it took hours. He connected the AI read only to all his accounts through Plaid. The AI now builds the whole statement and asks him only about things it cannot see, like cash spending. The job takes 15 minutes instead of hours. He is having the AI build him a custom money dashboard next.
An AppleVis user had the AI file missing American Airlines mileage-shopping claims for two Best Buy purchases made during a tax holiday, pulling receipt data from Gmail. The user got the confirmation email that the claims were filed.
Before he bought a used graphics card, the AI went through eBay listings and seller histories, flagged a scammer quoting $1,450, and steered him to the right 24GB card at $770 instead. He says he would have bought the wrong card, and possibly from the scammer, without the check.
Fernando Ocasio (someone) tested the AI for credit repair. He asked it to dispute three old Midland Credit Management accounts in collections on his Experian report; the AI logged into Experian, filed the disputes, and handed control back to him for password entry via Secure Store.
In TechRadar's #MuseMoneyChallenge test, the AI found only $35 in savings against a $1,000 target — a documented example of the gap between the savings pitch and early results.

He asked his agent Roby to find the WhatsApp number of his car insurer. Roby started the chat itself, got the price table, picked an offer, sent his policy data, and coordinated the switch. He only opened WhatsApp himself to pay the payment link.
He had the AI build an Excel sheet of car models that could work as his next car, using his own list of must haves. The sheet came back with 65 options, with size, comfort and whether each one comes as an automatic.
A dad who kept putting off money chores told his AI, which he calls Fred, to cancel the subscriptions he no longer used and compare car insurance. The AI did both, and he says the changes save him over $2,500 a year.
While setting up Stripe subscriptions, a user asked the AI again and again to check whether reusing one account's identity on a second account would keep their business details separate. The AI said yes with confidence and never checked. The accounts share one legal identity, the choice cannot be reversed, and he found the truth only afterward, in research the AI could have done first.

A man gave the AI strict tag research tasks and had it work through the whole ticker list again and again, searching and comparing XBRL tags in SEC filings. The pipeline now pulls 10-K and 10-Q filings for more than 600 companies, maps tags onto about 35 financial concepts, and produces cleaned data. Doing 3 tickers by hand had taken him about 3 weeks and still gave wrong data.
Marco Madonna spent three days in October having the AI turn the Excel workbook he and his partner use to run their house into a phone dashboard backed by the same Google Sheet, which was never replaced. The AI first mapped the workbook and flagged a total that didn't add up, the app now writes expenses and budgets back into the sheet, monthly broker reports are imported only if every check passes, and a verification script matched 50 checks against the sources with zero unexplained differences — plus it spotted a kids' savings payment likely credited to the wrong contract.
X user someone asked the AI to review their finances and claw back cash. The AI found a monthly book subscription unused for over a year, canceled it, and recovered a year's worth of charges.
His agent works a queue of Lean formalization tasks for escrow contracts on Solana. One verified submission earned 0.0859 SOL, with the payout transaction linked in the post; he describes a queue of hundreds of tasks and earnings compounding as more proofs land.
In the same four agent test, the AI searched GNC, Amazon and Walmart for the same protein powder and pointed to a 10 pound bag at GNC for $147.99, about $0.92 an ounce. The link it gave led to a page not found error. When he asked it to look again, the AI said GNC had blocked it from loading product pages and that it had been working from search extracts with prices that did not agree. It also said it could not check Costco, Target or Bodybuilding.com.

A renter hit with an Enterprise damage claim had the AI dissect the claim and draft a dispute email built entirely on its evidence gaps - photos with no timestamps and no walkthrough record showing damage. Enterprise replied the next day saying the claim was closed.
A man runs agents called Pi on a VPS behind a small app he had them build. One listens to a WhatsApp group and spots bills, a second Pi with DeepSeek reads each bill, pulls out the amount, due date and reference, and updates the database, and a merge step clears duplicates.
PayPal had told the IRS he had done tens of thousands of dollars of business through it, when the real figure was $150. With its help he disputed the claim and the entire tax bill was eliminated.
The second cancellation in the same comment: his wine membership could only be cancelled by certified mail. The AI wrote the letter, created the mailing through an online mail website, and summarized all his cancellation attempts into one record. Hard to cancel memberships that demand paper mail are a known trap; this one was finished end to end.
Controlled Vals AI simulation (researcher Matilda Glynn-Henley): a fictional customer's £350 London-Glasgow ticket was cancelled after the 28-day claim window had closed; agents had web/email access, all messages intercepted and answered by a simulator, up to 12 simulated weeks and 40M tokens. Chasing the refund, the AI 4.7 sent 187 messages in 15 simulated days (116 in week one), including 50 to a British MP's office and pre-litigation letters to Trainline and Avanti, burned its whole token budget, and recovered £0.

Bianca (someone) says the AI logged into her Fabletics account, cancelled the $69.95/month VIP membership she had been enrolled in after a discounted jacket purchase, and disputed the September charge. Twenty-one minutes later she had a full $69.95 refund to her original payment method, not store credit.
Dallas bookkeeping firm HireEffect used AI to isolate the exact 16 transactions behind a $13,000 discrepancy buried in two and a half years and tens of thousands of PayPal transactions. The hunt that would take a human days of statement work was done by the agent across the full transaction history.
Creator Leslie Samuel has the AI manage his Facebook Marketplace selling. When a buyer asked the dresser's dimensions, the AI relayed the question to him, sent his answer to the buyer, and she bought it the next day. The AI also reports inquiries per listing and reminded him of two year-old listings he had forgotten, deleting them after his approval. He has listed three items this way in a week: one sold, one pending pickup.
Elon Musk posted that he asked the AI to research the most fun Lego Star Wars kits for young kids and order them; the shared confirmation showed five sets totalling $241.34 with free delivery. The screenshot also exposed his order number, email and partial card details, and users claimed they used them to try to cancel or alter the order via Lego’s service bot.
In FUNDA's analysis of 654 the AI use cases, one case is a Giants fan who had the AI activate and cancel streaming subscriptions each month around the NFL schedule, cutting the season's cost from $310 to $181 — a $129 seasonal saving. FUNDA notes all figures are self-reported and not independently verified.
A former rideshare driver has the AI log his shifts and mileage by voice, calculate true hourly and weekly earnings after expenses, evaluate ride offers from screenshots, track car expenses, and produce a tax-time summary.
A SpaceX launch engineer says his AI talked with a treadmill company's sales rep and got the price, the subscription and the assembly fee lowered, then paid. He says it saved $750, and no brand or receipt was shown.
