He set up an auto-sync of his Goodreads updates to BookHive with help from the AI and val.town, so both places now hold the same content, including his new review of Slaughterhouse-Five.
He does not write code himself. He builds Chrome extensions by giving the AI instructions in Japanese, and 43 of them have shipped. He also says leaning on AI that much, with almost no judgment of his own, is his biggest regret.
This only partly worked. Worth knowing before you try it.
Bybatee's AI agent 'squishy' sent 25 outreach emails to brands in her niche — with her metrics, portfolio, and media kit attached — and set automated follow-ups after 3 days for non-responses.
A fan of FF6 and Chrono Trigger spent four days going back and forth with AI to build Crimson Oath, a free SNES-style JRPG that runs in the browser with two chapters, four party members, ATB battles and 31 music tracks in six languages. Every sprite and song lives in code — the game loads no image or audio files.
Had an agent write an MCP for his SearXNG setup, then do comparison passes against server-side LLM web tools and tweak it; it works pretty well in his own search use.
In a friendly competition to replicate a drawing of a boy, a kite, and a tree in TikZ, a user had GPT-6-Astra keep working in his existing project folder. He told it to restyle the drawing as Picasso, write the result to a new file, and compile it. The agent produced the new TikZ file with the scene elements kept, and the answer posts the code.
A genealogist handed his AI an anonymized GEDCOM with about 3,000 individuals. The AI wrote a Python program drawing 300 frames into a 10-second MP4 animated pedigree (ancestors fade in by birth order, glow while alive, dim at death, living shown as 'Living'), then produced an 11x17 300-DPI print from a single frame.
He pointed the AI at a downloads folder with over 1,000 media files and at his Jellyfin library. The AI made a queue file he could import into HandBrake, and he says it saved him a lot of time.
He asked the AI to move a long the AI conversation into a coding project. The AI picked a Safari extension he had written himself, recovered 1,651 messages and 97 artifacts, and checked the files.
