Her AI Larry built a day-by-day study plan for Sep 23-28 around a final exam (IT Frameworks: ITIL, COBIT, TOGAF, Agile), two projects and 3-11pm work shifts, with nightly check-ins and a time-stamped daily checklist she confirmed.
Fed the Windows Remote Desktop binary to the AI, which patched two decade-old bugs (NOPs and a stack offset fix); the fix worked.
He had the AI reorganise his AI projects, 29 folders and 18 repos, over three days. Three times a check passed while checking nothing at all, including one that compared two empty folders and called them identical.
He wanted to digitize his papers. The AI worked out how to use his feed scanner, and for about two hours he sat feeding pages in while the AI ran the scanner and catalogued the documents. He could talk to it through a conference speaker and watch it work in VS Code.
Together with AI he ran fairly complex imports from more than 1,000 JSON files into WordPress. Publications and events now arrive as their own custom post type, neatly structured in WordPress, including sideloading the media files.
Had the AI move his Fastmail domain from Namecheap to Cloudflare in Chrome, handling the nameserver steps for him.
Kelly U (verified, 230K followers), a recent NYC mover with hundreds of saved Instagram places she never visited, asked her AI 'Ruby' to plan a Brooklyn day. Ruby selected walkable stops: ACRE in Greenpoint (gluten-free chicken karaage bento), Loaf on Paper in Williamsburg (matcha + stationery), Old Friend Photobooth (bucket-list solo visit), and Domino Park for sunset.
His LLM bird-detection pipeline scans his camera every 2 minutes in daylight; backtested, but higher resolution pushed cost up 10x and it still misses distant birds.
He lost the source code for his macOS 8 PowerPC programs three decades ago. The AI decompiled the binaries, turned them into a web app, and then converted them to Dylan with OpenDylan.
He used AI one time to code a JavaScript bookmark that opens Google Calendar to a 7-day view starting on the most recent Monday. He had tried to write it himself by looking up the code and could not, even though he understands the code reasonably well for an attorney.
Every idea is a real post from someone who tried it, summarized in our words, with a link to the original. App names are swapped for plain words.
