A Magic player built a collection manager with AI and needed every card sorted by what it does in a deck, not by the words on it. The AI ran his whole collection, 2,527 different cards, through a classifier that gave each card a fit score for 61 roles like ramp and card advantage. It took minutes and cost about 22 cents, and the AI wrote the method into a reusable skill for next time.
Set the AI on it for a few hours and got Office 365 working under Wine on Linux, published as a working flake he uses with his own account.
An addon he wrote takes notes while he plays World of Warcraft. Each morning an AI turns the notes into a story told by a weathered chronicler, and the AI turns the story into a narrated podcast episode with voices, music and sound effects, one narrator per character. He reads every post and listens before anything goes up.
The AI built him a Bluesky bot that posts HN Wikipedia articles and posts an archive pick after 48 quiet hours; it is live and posting.
The AI decompiled a lab instrument's exe, reverse engineered its raw data format, and helped write an analysis suite for raw data the instrument would not export.
The writer asked his dot for help with his new broadband provider. The dot did deep-dive troubleshooting, contacting the provider's support itself, and figured out a login issue he says he could not get around on his own.
Used the AI to get 4 unfamiliar Proxmox LXC services working, drafting configs and VPN-only firewall rules in 2 days instead of about a week.
A researcher wrote the Lean statement of a theorem himself, then fed the published paper to the AI and had it write the proof. It finished in a couple of hours, and the Lean kernel verified the proof.
Fulton's the AI flagged an Economist interview with Andrew Ng that matched his interests, wrote him a primer before it started, and placed it on both his personal and work calendars. He had not asked it to connect those dots.
The AI built boot images for a box of ancient single-board computers and got them running; one now hosts a persistent tmux session.
