The last of four cryptograms on a famous unsolved list had resisted everyone since 1950; the first three fell in 1948, 1996 and 2019. Working with AI and OpenAI, the poster cracked it: Opus 5.5 wrote the search code and picked out the books to use for the key phrase, another model verified the result, and the list keeper has confirmed the solution.
A user built optimAIzr with AI, a local-only CLI that analyses his own LLM usage habits, flags costly or repeated patterns and estimates where he can cut tokens or spending. All data stays on his machine, and the tool adds live tips while he works.
Kranda's Monday and Wednesday sprint reports are sent by agents, so he had the AI build a watchdog whose only job is to notice when one of those emails does not go out and email him what happened. He says the watchdog exists mainly because the AI’s device permission issues make silent failures a real risk.
A developer built Idea Leash on an AI profile running locally on his Mac: he sends a podcast link by Telegram before a walk, and the agent transcribes it, writes notes into his markdown wiki and prepares a five-question quiz. After four real walks it had logged 7.66 km, nine voice ideas and sent after-walk summaries with web searches for ideas he dictated.
