A developer built himself an AI evening edition. It goes through the posts and articles he saved, checks each one against his actual setup, and sorts them into adopt, trial, park or skip. Any change it suggests waits for his yes. The first run cleared his whole backlog of 30 items, and a planted fake post with hidden instructions was flagged and skipped.
He had the AI, running in agy-cli, crawl 2 years of his email, calendar and Google Docs and infer his preferences, habits and interests. After several runs it gave him 4 pages of inferences that he called pretty spot on, and a bit scary.
He used AI one time to code a JavaScript bookmark that opens Google Calendar to a 7-day view starting on the most recent Monday. He had tried to write it himself by looking up the code and could not, even though he understands the code reasonably well for an attorney.
A builder created a skill that converts a user's Instagram saved collection into a private, searchable personal library. Every saved post is deep-read by vision AI, and everything runs on the user's own machine.
Liang Gou wrote no code himself: he directed the AI to design and build a complete grading app for his wife, a high school math teacher grading 100+ papers a week at 3 to 5 hours per test. The rubric engine reconstructs a rubric from a single graded example, its eval bank comes from real AP Calculus AB free-response exams, two models cross-check grades, and the agent tested the app itself in a browser before deployment.
Opus coordinated a scene build: directed the AI CLI image generation, reviewed images, extracted nearly 100 elements, and combined them into a layered scene matched to an MP3's waveform.
This only partly worked. Worth knowing before you try it.
With the AI’s help, mainly converting his site from Craft to 11ty, he revived an old side project. Subscribe to is a searchable directory of email newsletters and RSS feeds, and it is back online.
He had a few Windows machines left alongside his Macs, Linux machines and a large NAS. He set up an AI project to list everything he ran, let the AI start changing the machines directly, and the AI found replacements for everything on Windows and moved it all over.
