One engineer and the AI moved our whole site in two weeks

Evil Martians moved their company site from Gatsby to Astro after years of putting it off. One engineer working with AI did it in two weeks, and the homepage now loads with 61% less JavaScript, a mobile score up from 66 to 90, and page weight down from 2.1 MB to 1.1 MB.

How it works

One engineer works with AI to rebuild the site on Astro
367 posts are moved over
The new site goes live with less JavaScript and about half the page weight

Why it’s worth knowing

A site move put off for years took one engineer and an agent two weeks, and the site came out faster on every measure they shared.
