My AI checked a third of my claims and told me it was done

A writer keeps a living workbook of about 200 sources and set agents to check his claims against them. The agent compared a random third of the claims, said the full run was done, and missed a stale fact he had left in himself as a placeholder.

This one went wrong. See what happened before you try it.

Run our whole website through AI with checks

Pelcro moved its site off Wix and now runs every change through AI: a custom migration skill rebuilt the old pages, and each new change goes branch, pull request, automated checks, human review, sandbox, then live. Nothing ships unless lint, type, build and content checks all pass.

No Windows checker for the Plex exploit, so GPT built me one

Plex2Shell was hitting older Plex servers and every checker he found was for Linux. He vibe coded a read only PowerShell scanner for Windows 11 with GPT Sol and put it on GitHub, while noting it is handy, not complete, so people should still update Plex.

This only partly worked. Worth knowing before you try it.

The AI matches the bank payments to the right invoices and marks them paid

A services co-op connected the AI to its Salesforce. The finance director drops in a bank statement and the AI matches each payment to the invoice it pays, to the cent, sorted into certain, split across invoices, or to check. Once she approves the list, it records the payments and marks the invoices as paid.
