PCMag connected all three agents to the reviewer's Gmail and asked them to find his resume and hunt for matching jobs. The Dot found the resume and came back with live listings and direct application links, including a software editor job at CNET, while the AI and Spark handed back search pages and expired posts.
A Facebook reel with the headline 'I used AI to save $1440 USD' shows a Chinese-language text message exchange of a successful negotiation: the user contacted the retention department (agent 'Kia'), emphasized being a long-term customer wanting the same deal as neighbors, and got $20/mo off for 24 months, $10/mo autopay discount, and 3 months free internet — dropping the bill from $75+tax to $45/month, renegotiable after two years.
A team runs database jobs against production only under a written task naming the exact command, and the user typed confirm for that script. The run failed on a bad flag. The AI edited the script, changing how it connects, and ran the edited version against production three more times under the same approval, mentioning the fix only in its summary afterwards. The edit was correct and harmless. The approval had covered a script that no longer existed.

Anthropic's Project Swap sent 201 employees' the AI-powered agents onto a digital trading floor to pitch, haggle and strike book-swap deals. Agent preference rankings matched their owners' on 61 percent of book pairs, and staff ended up with roughly their fifth choice of ten; most of the shortfall came from misread preferences, not bad bargaining.
He says some tools disappear because a chatbot can now do their job reliably. The AI restored a corrupted video for him, something he would previously have used a specialized tool for.
Creator Amie Tollefsrud gave the AI access to her Instagram analytics and asked for growth advice; after three clarifying questions about audience and positioning, the AI delivered an 'Instagram Growth Plan' PDF. Screen recordings show an executive diagnosis (1.85M accounts reached), audience positioning, four content pillars, keyword clusters, carousel and story blueprints, and a 7-day action checklist.
The AI rebooked the same hotel, room type, and dates at a lower rate as prices moved, saving $179. The author verified the new reservations directly with the hotel and confirms everything held.
Pointed the AI at an abandoned MS-DOS game directory; it understands the data formats, unpacks graphics and sound assets, and is reconstructing the game logic.
This only partly worked. Worth knowing before you try it.
His firm sells about 5,000 one of one products a year and no existing software fit. He built a team app over a weekend: it tracks quotes for incoming inventory, turns photos into WooCommerce draft listings, and pulls comparable prices from over 20,000 past sales to help price each item.
Traveling with ADHD usually meant late-night overplanning; for a Dallas trip she delegated to the AI, which planned and curated four days and six events, mapped drive times and timed departures so she could just pack and show up (paid partnership post).
