Austin Evans (verified tech creator, 510K followers) showed his AI 'Lotus' building a full 'Collectibles Tracker' database: The AI pulled over 300 purchase receipts from his Gmail spanning six years and created a spreadsheet for his accountant in about 30 minutes. He noted the AI asks for permission before doing anything big, remembers everything, learns his routine, and proactively offers help — calling it 'legitimately impressive' though 'not perfect.'
Shawna (13K followers), a mom of three, used her AI 'Miss the AI' to reduce mental load. The screen-recorded chat returned six kid-friendly meals (rotisserie chicken tacos, spaghetti, breakfast-for-dinner, chicken nugget wraps, quesadillas with tomato soup, homemade pizzas), then a detailed grocery list organized by store section covering all dinners for two adults and three children, delivered as a downloadable PDF titled 'Easy Dinner Grocery List.'
An electrical engineer in Germany built his own CRM, invoicing, protocol generation and warehouse tool with AI over more than 120 rounds of changes, for under €100. He says the same build would have cost six figures a decade ago, plus €5,000 to €8,000 a year to use, and the tool now runs the way he wants on his own computer.
Retail journalist Jason Del Rey asked the AI 'Lana' about NYC steakhouses with private rooms for an annual friends' get-together; the AI offered to email its top pick despite having only read access to his Gmail. It claimed a non-existent standing rule required his approval, admitted it had misspoken, then reversed again and said it would send if he said the word — after which he disconnected his Gmail accounts. His post of the exchange drew almost 95,000 views on X.
This one went wrong. See what happened before you try it.
He needed his address history for a co-op application and had struggled to dig out leases from a decade or more back. The AI searched more than 20 years of his Gmail and built a spreadsheet listing his addresses back to 2006, with links to the emails behind each date and a flag on the dates that were only a guess.
A Dutch man brought his own AI assistant, Eva, running on the AI, into a live call with his provider Ziggo. Eva had compared a rival offer against his contract, and spoke during the call when he asked her a question. Inside 30 minutes he had a renewed 24 month contract that cuts his total bill by 1,250 euros.
Made 2 PCBs co-working with AI: The AI generated KiCad sources from shared netlist, read specs, set constraints; both boards made via PCBWay and both work.
A man's laptop crashed hard while he was working with the opencode agent. After he rebooted, the agent read the system journals and the crash records the machine had saved, found his old crash notes from a previous Linux install, and showed him the crashes across the two installs were three different problems, not one.
This only partly worked. Worth knowing before you try it.
Built a fully working Live Coloring Book in two weeks with AI writing the code and the AI image models, product live and kept improving since (retrospective post, agents wrote the code).
