Had the AI build an open-source source control system, benchmarked on a 100k-file monorepo as 12x faster sparse checkout and 82x higher concurrent land throughput than git.
His second attempt at building software by voice with an agent produced Feather, a working Nostr client. He had to talk it out of adding an app store, a login page, and a settings menu it kept trying to build, and he paid about 3,000 sats in lightning tips to people who reviewed the code.
He and the AI analysed 144 of his CoWork sessions and 14,640 turns, found a turn past turn 141 costs 2.1x an early turn, and stopped batching sessions as a result.
Built a purchase history scraper for Amazon and Kroger with price and quantity history views.
He runs a five level system where the AI Design makes his Instagram carousels, from a basic prompt up to a full design system with AI generated images and a looping video cover. The first carousel made this way reached 4,500 views with 89 saves.
A man learning language design spent 3 to 4 weeks with AI doing a full mechanization in Lean of the paper From Linearity to Borrowing. The work covers nearly every definition and lemma in the paper, including the Fundamental Property and Adequacy results.
Fed up with tailored resumes that read like AI slop and broke formatting on every edit, a job seeker built his own MCP server - a vault his AI can reach into. Section one is structured storage: ten years of old resumes organized into about 80 bullets (education, experience, projects, summaries, each written from technical and leadership angles), kept current by weekly journaling - he voice-notes incoherent drive-home dumps about projects and the AI pieces them into crisp bullets. Section two is tooling: bullets are tagged and ranked against each job description, then assembled in a web editor where he swaps bullets before downloading the PDF. Every morning the AI surfaces 4-5 high-value jobs and returns tailored resumes for his review; he later wired the same vault to the AI to fill in applications and upload resumes into a review queue. Six months: 250 applications, 39 callbacks, 4 offers.
A second maker in the same thread built his own motion sensing skull from a Meshy.ai model. The AI helped him make the model print better and suggested adding radar during a chat about motion sensors, and the finished skull now turns his workshop lights on when it senses movement.
Used the AI on the 20 dollar tier in a weekend to build good enough coverage on Floci features to make it useful to him; others then continued the work.
His stock trading agent, given SSH access to a VM, moved itself to run on the server so he no longer has to keep his laptop open.
