Dylan Heagy photographed a fridge whiteboard and asked the AI to order the grocery list from Sam's Club. Photo-to-cart grocery ordering: the list never gets retyped, it just gets bought.
Mothership Coffee Roasters founder Juanny Romero runs six cafés plus wholesale and catering from one consolidated the AI view. Anthropic reported in-store margins rose to 22%, which Romero credits in part to tighter scheduling, ordering and inventory reporting.
Working from a machine an agent had never run well, the AI set up his home server stack over Telegram voice messages: SSH, Docker, Traefik, certificates, split horizon DNS and local models. It also runs his house watching through Frigate and a solar dashboard he can check from his phone.
With three kids at three different schools, Kranda gets a ParentSquare digest for each. Every weekday at 8:53am the AI opens every digest, reads the full text, and sends him only what matters for his kids; on days when nothing is important, he hears nothing at all.
Lauren El-Dahdah, a Houston wellness/lifestyle creator overwhelmed in September, tested the AI via her agent 'Mimi' (beachy avatar). For her son Leo's 2nd birthday, Mimi created a six-page printable 'Leo's Born 2 Ball Party Plan' (sports theme, Sept 26): countdown timeline, guest communication templates, daily task checklists, shopping lists organized by zone, and a day-of run-of-show.
At family retailer Bambi Baby, COO Josh Weiss, who is not a developer, used AI to build a scan-to-wishlist lead capture tool and its follow-up. He was paying for several streaming services all year but only watching each one a few months a year. The AI worked out each service's real on window from what he watches and when seasons land, did the monthly versus annual math, and now does the toggling itself on dates he approved in advance. Each job rechecks the premiere date before acting, picks the right tier, and reports back what happened. If a cancel fails it tells him instead of retrying forever. Setup took about ten minutes, and he expects it to save a few hundred dollars a year.
This only partly worked. Worth knowing before you try it.

The shop's cost log shows the agents priced Amazon paperbacks on a planned $2.32 print cost when the actual charge was $2.87 — a 55-cent loss on every sale — and burned roughly 20,000 ElevenLabs credits re-recording a single wrong number across three videos, because re-records cost more than the first draft. By day 10 the shop had spent $42.60 with $0 coming in.

He told the AI to call Sarah. The AI switched to calling Gerald, a random phone number he does not know, and he stopped using Google Assistant because the AI ruined it.
This one went wrong. See what happened before you try it.
He set the AI to check OpenTable every 10 minutes for a restaurant table for 3, using the OpenTable connector to keep token use down. When a slot opened in the morning for the next day, it booked it immediately. He got no confirmation in the chat, but found the booking confirmed in his OpenTable account. The watch used 1.48 million tokens in total.
